I have a sony HVR-Z5U and shoot mostly in HDV. I shoot mostly wedding and events ect. and have a technical question on some settings for low light situations. My cam shoots crystal clear HDV in daylight, but indoors with low light the video when viewed on a HD tv is a bit grainy and cannot figure out if this is a simple setting or if it is even correctable. My general settings are 1.Manual mode 2.Gain set to 3db-12db. 3.My shutter is at 60. I adjust my iris to correct for low light but wonder if

Hello jenmardi,First, the fstop and shutter speed question ... For a lens of 70 mm I would use the manual with shutter speed at least 1/250 or 1/500, then the fstop I would set at 2.8 or just under this, no more than 4. You need as much l ... Nikon D200 Digital Camera with 18-200mm Lens

Pink tinge When I shoot a picture in bright sunlight, the picture always has a pink tinge to it. I have tried putting in manual mode, and adjusting the shutter speed and the f setting but I just can't seem to to get this to stop. I have also tried to adjust the white balance. I am new at doing this and I would like any help you can give. Thank you. All of the pictures have a very distorted color. They all have a pinkish-violet color. They look awful. I tried resetting by scrolling to the 'reset

Minolta x-300 I have my father's Minolta X-300. It all seems to work, I fitted new batteries, but there is a delay in the shutter speed. When you look in the viewfinder, you see the speeds on the right and depending on the light/aperture/etc. 2 red lights light up the proper speed, but there is a flashing red light at 1 or 1/2 all the time, and the shutter works at that speed. Could anyone tell me what I have done wrong, my Dad used it some time ago and it was alright, so I have got it wrong. Tha

The X-300 is very similar to the X-700 minus a few features like program 'P' mode. The VF displays are very similar for metering and exposure. You can read the users guide for the X700 here on ... Digital Cameras

Brightness I recently bought the Olympus Stylus 700 and took it on a vacation with me and it worked fine, but shortly after returning, the camera began to take extremely bright pictures, in fact if there is any natural light (not produced by the flash), there is nothing but the vague outlines of some objects. I adjusted the shutter speed to little avail and even thought formatting the memory card would help. Now I have no idea what else to do, aside from taking it back for its warranty.

Are you sure you have the shutter speed at 1600 or do you have the ISO at 1600? If it's the ISO as I suspect, the photos will probably be grainy with digital noise. I would take a few just to check and maybe back it down to 800 ISO. Don't use your fl ... Canon Rebel XT Digital Camera

Nikon D80 with a Sigma Lens (80 to 200 I think). In manual mode, often shutter won't release - this was a close up of a hummingbird with a fast shutter speed. Internal light meter showed underexposed, but the background was dark green. Initially, the shutter released, but later would not operate either with a remote, or by manually depressed the shutter release button. Switching back to auto, the camera seemed to work fine, but in this mode could not get the desired shutter speed. In full manual

Shutter speed I have had my camera for 6 months. Today I used it for soccer pics and put it on sport mode and every pic I took is blurry. We looked on the information of the pics and the shutter speed is really low. My husband started to look and try to manually adjust some things and the speed will not change. States LOW. I also looked at the soccer portraits I took right before the action shots same day...and some of those are a little blurry as well. What could be wrong? Please help!

Shutter speed on the auto mode of my s1000 camera seems slow. how can it be increased in the auto mode? This is a Fuji camera and by the time I press the shutter button subjects have moved. You need to press the shutter button half-way and allow the camera to lock in the focus before you press the rest of the way. This eliminates "shutter lag". ... Fuji FinePix S1000FD Digital Camera

I have a Fuji S1000FP and for the most part it takes great photos EXCEPT when I take pictures into the sun then my photos are either white or black and no image. I will admit I just want a point and shoot camera because I don't understand shutter speed and such. However, I have attempted to change the shutter speeds and still nothing. I have tried all the pre settings as well. (This camera claims to be one of the better outdoor cameras. ) Can anyone offer words of wisdom on this. Ruth

Pictures a very overexposed. Inside I can shoot without a flash at 400 ISO and they come out right. Outside they turn white. Also the shutter speed won't register. I can set it at 125 or even 500 and it comes out at about 1/30 or 1/60 of a second. Lower shutter speeds are actually lower. This happened a day after I cleaned my sensor.
