Having problems with your FUJIFILM Digital Cameras ?

I have lost the image after cutting and pasting the photographs from my laptop to the external hard drive. Is there a way of retrieving the images so that I can view them again?

Answers :

Not sure I fully understand- the copies didn't make it to the external drive? It is better to copy and paste than cut and paste, as that leaves copies on both source and destination. You can always delete separately later.

Pictures that have been deleted are probably still there (not sure where "there" is, your laptop?), but will be overwritten by any other files that get written to the drive they are on, so try not to do any of that.

There are programs for undeleting files, available for free download from the internet, try the one at THIS LINK

This particular program is designed to undelete files on memory cards in card readers and other external drives as well as drives resident in the computer. You may even find that the pics are still on the memory card from your camera.

If the pictures are very important to you, you might want to seek help from an experienced person.
Hi.

The only way you can try to recover the picture files is by using an undelete software.

When Windows deletes a files, first marks the space taken by the file as available, then overwrites the data when re-allocating and re-using the space taken by the file on disk.
You can recover a deleted file ONLY if the system has not overwritten the space on disk taken by the original file.

Use the different free applications available using the link below. If they do not allow you recovering the files, then the deleted files are lost as their location had been used by the system, which erased the original content completely.

Canon Powershot G10 image quality problems... I have had my Canon Powershot G10 for 2 years and have had the same problem from the start... it is now driving me mad!
