There are two indications of how the batteries are inserted into this camera. One is on the lid ( + and -) and one is within the battery hold. The ones inside the battery holder are completely opposite of what is on the lid. Which one is the right way? I ask because freshly charged batteries are NOT working no matter which way I insert them. There is NO MANUAL with this camera, which I think is a cheap way for Kodak to sell these things. Very dissapointed with this camera.

Hi! I took several shots yesterday and went to upload the pix on my computer today and when I connected the camera to my computer the battery was at 100%. Then the camera completely shut off. I tried turning it back on with no result. I recharged the battery with the same result. I figured my battery must be dead ( yet only 1 year old) and purchased a new one. I fully charged that one and plugged my camera in again and the same thing happened! What could this be caused from? No damage has ever

Camera won't take picture. I hold down the button, it focuses on object, orange light telling me flash is ready is lit and nothing happens. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Is it the memory card? Batteries? or defective camera? It worked fine for the first year and before I got this one I had a similar powershot that did the same thing after a while of owning it.

I have a Kodak Z1015IS, about 16 months old, that has not been subject to any type of liquid or damage. One day I went to use it and I was not able to adjust any of the PASM settings (i.e. f-stop, shutter speed, etc.). All other hardware and menu systems work just fine, it is just that the settings are locked in place (at the levels of my prior use). I've tried updating the firmware, formatting the internal memory, and removing the battery with no luck. Just spent time with Kodak, and a

Where can I get hold of a replacement battery door for a Fuju Finepix S5700? I've trolled the web and can't find anyone with one for sale. The lugs on the battery door have snapped and won't hold the batteries in anymore. I've got tape on it at the moment which keeps stretching after a while. I don't really wan't to use a bodge job like tape or rubber bands - I'd really like to get hold of a spare part that I can fit myself. Any ideas?

Nikon Coolpix L110 camera was bought for me for Christmas 2010. Worked fine at first, but now seems to be having problems. Batteries don't last. Battery problem Kodak z712 uses different types of batteries and the one supplied with camera are non-rechargeable lithium type that die down soon. Camera specifications say one can use rechargeable lithium-ion, Klic-8000. Now while replacement klic-8000 are cheaply and abudantly available, is this appropriate to use them in this model? I have had two digital cameras (the first an Ixus - the present a Powershot). After a couple of years the Ixus wore out batteries in 5 minutes - and buying new ones did not help. Now the same thing is happenng to my Powershot - which uses ordinary AA-batteries. Both cameras still take very good pictures - but a retailer told me that this is what happens to digital cameras after a while. Do i really have to by a new one every 3.rd year - or have anyone any suggestions?

Fuji S5000 camera problem....The battery door will not latch because the cheap plastic retaining nipples inside the battery box have worn down/or broken. Tape will not even hold door closed! The retainers on the hinged door are fine (naturally it's the body!) The retainers don't meet each other as one slides the door closed and the spring loading makes the door pop open. Can a person use machine screws and latches or what??? (Velcro?...probably like tape that won't hold)

After leaving my Sony DSC-T2 camera unused for only a couple of days the battery was flat. I recharged it fully but again it only lasted a day or two. I assumed the battery was dead and I purchased a new Sony NP-BD1 battery and charged it correctly. This new battery is behaving exactly the same as the old one, only holding a charge for a day or two at most. It seems the camera is draining the battery when it is switched off, or maybe the charger is faulty ??? Any ideas?? many thanks - Geoff

My Canon powershot SD20 seems to constantly have a drained battery. I have two batteries for it, and each one seems to be good for about five minutes, then the camera says change the battery pack and it shuts off.
