Camera does not hold memory card in place and door does not close

Answers :

There are some springs and spring clips that are inside the memory card holder, near the camera's contact fingers. When they break they will not set right and impede the memory card when inserted. In turn, it will stick slightly up and not allow the battery door to fully close. You will have to take the camera apart to see what you can see, and hope somethings not just sprung out of place. Since it's soldered to the main board, it might be expensive to have it repaired. Haven't ever checked to see what a repair shop would charge to fix this, but get an estimate in case you have it serviced, since the cost of repair can exceed the cost of a new camera. Wish I had an easier "fix" for you, but I've had this problem myself, and ended up scrapping the camera for other reasons, but I noticed the main cpu board that the card holder attaches to would probably have to be replaced, which would just be way too much. If you can clear what's obstructing it, you might be able to get it functional, without repairing it, and just fish it out with you thumbnail, after getting the card in. Sorry there isn't an "easy" thing to try.

My Fujifilm FinePix F20 camera keeps giving the Memory Full warning with less than 50 pictures on it. This is with the XD card. It used to hold nearly 300 pictures.
