Picture delay is there a way to change how fast the pictures are taken, my camera seems to have a delay for some reason, which makes it hard to snap a random shot..

Answers :

The cycle speed is fixed internally, and is caused by the record time to the memory card.If possible, try a faster rated memory card - some are advertised as being 100x!

Missing shots I have a Coolpix L18/L16 Nikon and I am missing all of my pictures. I take them but by the time the shot goes through the picture is lost. It continually results in pictures where my daughter's eyes are closed. What can I do? I am guessing that some setting is off which makes it take too long to snap the photo.

Your camera works fine, but they made it like this, so you should push the button all the way down, not half way, because when you push half way, the camera focus on the target, and the little lasers flash, but that is no shoot... on the other hand, ... Nikon COOLPIX L18 Digital Camera

I also have the problem of pictures not in focus. I have made a point to lock in first by pushing halfway down before snapping the picture. It's ridiculous that a picture of an inanimate object is not in focus when I'm making a conscious effort to hold my hands steady, lock in the object and then snap, and I'm in the automatic mode. This problem seriously makes me sorry I bought this camera.

80000 snaps I have seen many times on forums that a certain has 50000 snaps and is still going strong, or that another camera has not yet reached 80000 snaps. what does this mean? does a digital camera die after a certain number of shots? is there a maintenance period?

I would think it implies the camera / flash / whatever is still functioning after that many operations (pictures)... of course everything wears out eventually, film, digital cameras and flash too.\015\012\015\012In this year I may hit 15,000 pictures ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ10 Digital Camera

Blury images Re: Sony Cyber-shot 6mp (DSC-H2) Our outdoor images are beautiful but nearly all of our indoor images are blury/shaky making the camera unusable. I tried to take a shot of the Vanderbilt baseball stadium, and it came out a little soft and out of focus. I was in Apperture priority at F8 to maximize the depth of field, exposure compensation -2/3EV, metered in the field, and tried to focus on the two guys sitting there in the midfield. Tried one shot AF, the manually tweaking it in OIS mode 2. On screen it looked fine, but on the computer screen not so much so. What could I have done to make it better? How can I set the focus to infinity?

I have a Canon 5D and a 430EX flash. When shooting pictures my flash will delay way to long before I can shoot another picture with flash. One picture is good and 3 are dark. My flash card is a CompactFlash 4GB Hi-speed 40 so I dont understand why it take so long for the flash to go off between shots.
