Having problems with your Kodak EasyShare C653 Digital Camera ?

The automatic slideing lens cover on the Kodak Easyshare C653 camera is sticking, sometimes it will open halfway than will not close. There may be sands in it from the beach. Is there any way of cleaning it. Thanks

Answers :

Here are the steps for the lens problem: 1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. Please use lithium batteries Ni-Mh or rechargeable Batteries (2000 M.Amp or higher). 2. Clean the battery contacts. a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth. b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera 3. Turn on your camera without the memory card. (If it works then it?s your memory card that is faulty)

Lens Error My daughter and I just got back from a trip to St Croix. We stayed at a resort on the beach and also went snorkeling. The camera was exposed to sand and water. While snorkeling we had the camera in a zip-loc bag so I do not believe it got water in it but I know that while on the beach it may have gotten sand on it. Now the lens won't retract and we are getting a "lens error 12". Any suggestions? Thanks

Focus problems I have 2 digital cameras already so I know to hold the button down 1/2 way for focusing. The Nikon is new. I HATE manuals. I am having trouble focusing on close up shots. They are either real blurry or slightly out of focus. It seems the shutter speed is so slow that any movement of my hand ruins the shot. I can take a shot of something, a plant for instance, pulled in fairly close. One shot may be ok and the next one is blurry

There are two likely reasons for the blurry pictures. One possibility is, as you surmised, a slow shutter speed. Try mounting the camera on a tripod or other stable support. You might also try turning on the flash. The other reason is focu ... Digital Cameras

Zoom my camera isnt an olympus FE - 230 digital camera, its a kodak M836, i can look at my pictures okay, but i cant take any, as when i turn it on to take a picture the lens goes out, and then back it and it switches off. it is nothing to do with the battery as i have charged it several times. - my dad thinks that it goes back in because there is some sand inside (as we recently went on a beach holiday) and that the sand is stopping the zoom from coming out all the way, so it goes back in, alth

TIPS:1.)NEVER PUSH THE LENS IN AFTER CAMERA DIES, BUY A NEW BATTERY IMMEDIATLY AND TURN IT BACK ON, CLOSING THE LENS!2.)NEVER USE AN AC ADAPTER, USE A RECHARGEABLE BATTERY OR A REGULAR BATTERY!..to fix this... ... Olympus FE-230 Digital Camera
