Sorry, but there is no safe DIY fix for the lens problem, and any attempt at homebrew repair will probably make things worse. Your camera needs professional repair, so I suggest that you take it to a local camera shop (NOT the camera department at a large store) or contact Kodak customer service via their web site (www.Kodak.com) to arrange repairs. Be sure to get a firm price before you commit to any repair though, as the fix may approach the cost of a new camera, and repairs typically only carry a 30-day warranty. Also, Kodak may offer you a trade in instead of repair. Check camera prices before you jump at their offer. You can often pick up a new camera on eBay or on sale somewhere else for less than the Kodak offer.

I have a canon EF 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM lens that has a zoom lock switch. When in the unlocked position and I try to zoom the lens it sticks at around the 200mm mark and cannot seem to move it below that positon, I need to wiggle the barrel before the zoom seems to "let go" and the lens goes to other positions. This is quite a problem as the lens cannot be operated in all its positions. Also when trying to get it unstuck, it feels like I am applying too much force and could further damage

I have had my Kodak Easyshare C330 since December 2005. When the camera tries to extend the lens, it does it very slightly. This is then followed by "lens error: 14" and the camera then shuts off. I have a 4 1/2 year old Nikon 8800VR. It has always worked and except for being rather sluggish, has performed nicely. Zoom lens mis-focusing. The lens "wizzes" in and out trying to focus. The lens will eventually "settle-into" focus; but sometimes this takes a number of seconds to accomplish. I have a new (3 weeks) D700 and while taking photos yesterday with camera and a 16-35mm lens, the exposure meter went ape. Pictures taken ok but ERR started to flash where shutter speed reading should be displayed in viewfinder. Tried everything, including resetting to factory settings, detaching and reattaching lens, checking switches, and then went home in despair. Trouble focusing I am using my D60 with a 18-55mm lens, i have it set on auto its been working fine until recently when it is unable able to focus when i press on the release button. All that seems to happen is the lens keep going in and out where it is trying to focus. I have removed the lens and checked the contact but its still not working help!!!
Not too many things that can do this are simple, but here are a few you can check. First, make sure you aren't too close for the lens to focus. For the 18-55, that's only about 5" from the front of the lens, so I doubt this is the problem. \ ... Nikon D60 Digital Camera

Lens error When I switch on my Exilim Z-500, the zoom extends only half way of what it used to and there's some cracking noise as if something was blocking it.
