Having problems with your Kodak EasyShare DX4530 Digital Camera ?

I just inserted a 8 MB card in and the camera says "Memory card needs formatting" I click continue, then it says "Formatting will delete everything on the memory card", no problem, it's a new card so I click on continue then it says "formatting" then I get the message that says "Memory card cannot be read, insert another card" What's the matter?

Answers :

8MB or 8GB? If it's actually an 8MB card, you'll be able to put maybe two or three pictures on it, so I'll assume it's an 8GB card.

The DX4530 is designed to work with SD cards. Your 8GB card is actually an SDHC card. While SDHC cards will fit into SD devices, there are electronic difference that prevent them from working there. SD cards will work in SDHC devices but not the other way around.

You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.
Thanks to k_akima I got the same issue. I need to return the 8GB SDHC card to the store. Thank you again
