The batteries are the correct one and i have tried new batteries in in as well as i thought at firtst it was dead batteries. ANY SUGGESTIONS?? as usual the camera is out of warranty Thanks

Answers :

Try to remove the memory card first and turn it on without memory card, it has a built in memory by the way. if it works, throw away the memory card, If the problem is still there, try to shake it side by side. If it still dont works, it needs to be opened, something is stucked inside.

After leaving my Sony DSC-T2 camera unused for only a couple of days the battery was flat. I recharged it fully but again it only lasted a day or two. I assumed the battery was dead and I purchased a new Sony NP-BD1 battery and charged it correctly. This new battery is behaving exactly the same as the old one, only holding a charge for a day or two at most. It seems the camera is draining the battery when it is switched off, or maybe the charger is faulty ??? Any ideas?? many thanks - Geoff

I have a new (Dec., 2009) D90. This morning I discovered that I had an "Err" message and a "CHA" message. Both were on the LCD panel on the top of the camera. I was not able to turn the camera off, and the only way to turn it off was to take out the battery. Upon reinserting the battery, everything appeared normal, but after taking one shot the problem reappeared. The interesting thing was that I took the camera body to a Nikon certified shop in New York, and they tried it with a different lens,
