Canon Powershot SD450 E18 problem: The camera lense would not open and reported error code E18 on power-up and then would shut down. I followed a procedure on the web for this issue and got the camera lens to open and it was working (able to take pictures for about a minute). When I powered down, the lense did not completely retract. I tried re-powering on but nothing happened. The camera is not getting any power. I figured the battery died so I re-charged it. I have a Fuji FinePix A345. It is out of warranty. I put freshly-charged batteries in, take one or two pics, then get a low batter-reading, followed by the camera shutting off power. I took batteries out, checked them on a battery tester, and they both still had a full charge (2500 mAh), but camera won't even turn on. I was just reading consumer reviews on the A345 advertising page. Apparently this model can be a real lemon. Anything I can do to fix the camera? Or do I just toss it and bu

Camera was on, working fine. When powering off, telescoping lens did not retract so lens remained extended just a bit with lens cover open. Waited a few minutes, turned it back on and I get the "access" display message then the beeps and (turn power off and back on) message. While off, I have removed the battery, replacing it with a fully charged spare and it still does this. My camera will not turn on. Just before this happened, I was getting info on the camera that the battery power was low and I had only 10 seconds before it went off. I would put in a new battery and them same thing happened. Finally, the power is off and even when I put in new batteries and check to be sure they are in correctly, I still can't get the power to come on.

I hit the power button and it turns green for a second but then goes out. The camera and LCD screen do nothing. So I have some sort of power problem. When I put the battery in the charger the charger light comes on for about a 10seconds but then goes out (suggesting that the battery is fully charged). Is this a battery problem (not charging or holding a charge) or a camera problem? I don't want to buy a new battery if the camera itself is dead... Thanks!

Sometimes you don't get the "Access" and it will go straight into the "Power off and on again" screen. Tried this - no good. My Kodak V1233, isn't working right. If I turn it on, it will only turn on a second and extend the lense and then shuts off (it's fully charged).
