Hey so I took my camera to the beach one day and despite the great lengths I went through to keep my camera away from the water, a wave got to it and it got wet. I assumed it only got wet on the outside and didn't really look elsewhere and went ahead and turned it on. When it wouldn't turn on, I checked the battery and there was a little smoke coming out of the battery slot. Apparently some water had gotten into there so of course I freaked out because my extremely expensive camera was n

No Flash My camera got a little wet at a themepark, and I fear it's damaged. At first the flash was being a little faulty, but now it won't flash at all no matter what I do. And the little green off/on light stays on even when the camera is turned off. I've had this camera for less than a year- I don't want to buy a new one already!

Water damage? A little bit of water got on my camera. Once I noticed, I wiped it off and tried to turn the camera on and it wouldn't. Once I got home, I charged the battery, thinking maybe that would help. I put the battery back in and now there is an orange/red light on the front of the camera that won't go away, and it still won't turn on.

Battery? My sister got my Sony Cybershot wet...not submerged or anything...just wet. At first I thought it was broken b/c it would not turn on but I plugged it into the wall charger and it turns on just fine and takes pictures and everything..but the second you disconnect the wall charger from the camera it turns off...no juice at all. My Canon A430 Camera got a bit wet when I fell into a Dam this weekend. The camera did not at all touch the water, but a few drops of water did land on the camera. Blurry Pictures I have had this camera less than a year. I took it to the beach 2 weeks ago and the camera was fine. Crystal clear pictures. Then, on the last day of vacation, the pictures started coming out blurry. Even when I am preparing to take a picture the view finder is blurry. The camera is on auto focus and it is set to the shoot and click setting (little green camera). It didn't get wet at all. Anyone know if there is a setting that I may have touched or is this an internal problem.
