Having problems with your Kodak EasyShare M863 Digital Camera ?

I am having trouble with grainy and out of focus pics. Is there something wrong?

Answers :

Check your settings. If you have it set for 1 MPX, they will not be as nice as 5 MPX. They will also take up a lot less room in memory. The settings are in the menu, under quality.

Focus Problem I recently took the camera apart to fix the zoom. lens would not come out. Fixed it all good now goes in and out smothly. Now the pics are fuzzy out of focus. has auto focus 2' too infinity. Wiped the lenses off while i was in there with a lens cloth from binoculars. Maybe not well enough and it might have a film on it. Would that make the pics fuzzy or out of focus? Or is there something else?

A small amount of dirt on the lens would just produce some flare and redule overall contrast slightly. It wouldn't produce a grossly out of focus image. Either you misaligned something or you messed up the autofocus system somehow.\015\012\015\012Can ... Fuji FinePix 2650 Digital Camera

Grainy pictures Lately my camera's pictures are very grainy and blured. I think I have accidentally ajusted something wrong, and I know little about cameras. Aperature or shutter speed or something???

Grainy pictures are possibly casued by a very high ISO (sensativity) setting, you should be on 100 or lower for best normal shots. Higher settings are for low light and custom shooting in strange lighting or aperature/shutter speeds. Try full auto se ... Canon PowerShot S3 IS Digital Camera

Focus problems I have 2 digital cameras already so I know to hold the button down 1/2 way for focusing. The Nikon is new. I HATE manuals. I am having trouble focusing on close up shots. They are either real blurry or slightly out of focus. It seems the shutter speed is so slow that any movement of my hand ruins the shot. I can take a shot of something, a plant for instance, pulled in fairly close. One shot may be ok and the next one is blurry

There are two likely reasons for the blurry pictures. One possibility is, as you surmised, a slow shutter speed. Try mounting the camera on a tripod or other stable support. You might also try turning on the flash. The other reason is focu ... Digital Cameras

So... there's poor focus, and there's shutter speed.\015\012\015\012If the light is very low, the shutter has to stay open for longer to allow enough light in to make a bright picture. Suffice to say, if you move around while the shutter ... Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T9 Digital Camera

Viewfinder focus I am unable to properly focus using the viewfinder and see a clear focused picture even with trying to use the opitcal zoom. However, I have no problem using the lcd and adjusting the optical zoom to get a clear picture. is there something wrong with the lense or have i inadvertently set a function on the camera.

Mickykay, Have you tried focusing the diopter? The focus wheel is just left of the viewer. If you know all this then consider one more thing. There is a plus and minus setting for your eye so roll the wheel slowly to not miss the sweet spot ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50K Digital Camera

I have a new k20D I have had it less than a week and I can't seem to get the auto focus to work. I can manually focus but when on auto I get the red square for a second and then it goes off it does not move the lens into focus and it does not beep. I am wondering if I have a setting wrong but I reviewed the manual and I don't think I am missing something but maybe I am.

Does your lens have a ring on it with various lens openings marked on it such as 3.5, 22 etc.? If so, it should also have a "A" setting which is where you should have it. Also, I'm assuming your lens is an auto-focus lens. ... Pentax K20D Digital Camera

Focus problems Hi, my camera is not focusing clearly. We just used it recently and can look at clear pictures on the display screen but now when we go to actually take a picture it's blury (on the display screen and if a picture is taken). I also notice that all these different setting menu's come up on the display screen when we are in take picture mode. I took it in today and they said the lens could have been bumped or that their is something wrong with the focusing inside. So they would hav

Focus Trouble All of the sudden, my camera won't focus. The menu works, & I can view old pictures clearly, but I can't take a picture w/o it being blurry. The lens does extend in & out, & the camera sometimes powers off. (Not always.) My husband swears up & down that he didn't drop, or do, anything to the camera. I didn't either. This camera is only 4 mos. old. What is wrong with my it? Lens problem? Could this be covered under warranty?

My old camera was an Olympus Camedia c-765 digital. My new one is an Olypmus SP-800UZ 14 megapixel. The more I use the SP-8OOuz the more disappointed with the pictures I take. None of them seem sharply in focus like they were with the Camedia camera. Am I doing something wrong or is it a failing in the camera? I have tried most of the multiple settings but I am just not satisified. I thought with having more megapixels I would get a better picture. Am I wrong? Thank you

I have never had any problems with my camera, it is about 2 years old. Recently, all my pictures have turned out blurry, it seems like the camera is just not auto focusing. I had a problem with this one day, then it started working again, and now it won't focus again. I don't understand if there is something wrong with my camera, or if I accidently pressed a button I shouldn't have.
