Having problems with your Kodak EasyShare Z915 Digital Camera ?

My camera user guide does not give me very good or easy-to-follow directions on taking the pictures from the camera to the PC so I can print them. Please give more details. Thanks.

Answers :

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Dark pictures I have an Exilim EX-Z40 which i download to an apple powerbook via the USB link. The pictures when printed out look rather 'grey' rather than bright. This was very obvious when the camera SD card was recently printed out direct from a photolab rather than from the computer and compared to those printed out from the computer. The former were very 'bright' with fuller colours. SHould I be doing something different when connecting camera to computer?

Perhaps the lab is at fault? if iPhoto displays the pics with the correct dark/light profile then it is likely to be right. You can alter the profile in the edit window of iPhoto but it would seem the lab messed up. ... Casio Exilim EX-Z40 Digital Camera

It however responds just fine when in picture-view mode. There is a screen prompt that says 'Access' when the camera is turned on, as well as the message 'turn off camera and start again'. I do not think that the camera had fallen at any time, and it is just under a year old. Thanks a lot for your response, Sarah.
