My digital G400 minolta fall in a short distance, the lense moves out but no photo appears? what I do?

\015 The camera after dropping to the ground -about 50 cm down- stopped to function to produce image. The lense moves out but no image on the screen-dimmed?\015

Answers :

From the description the shutter is not working, in order to address this the lens must be taken apart to see if it can be salvaged, and there is the matter of a dimmed screen. My sense is replace the camera with a new one, cost to repair will be high something to consider when a camera specialist checks it out.

When turned on lense would only retract partially and then turn off. took it apart. I have it to where the camera will now go on, am able to take a photo (all normal) except I cannot get the lense to "attach" to the camera properly. Cylindrical lense. three screws protruding from it. not sure if the lense mounts on a black ring on the front or under the ring. The "in out" mechanism works but it will not grab the lense (cover?) to move out then retract. Seems to need to attach under the ring but

Horizontal lines in my photos. Nothing on lense: the photo looks fine on the LCD until I look at the history. When I put them on the computer to view-the lines are still there. I have a bran new Kodak Z series easy share camera (2 weeks) has not been dropped or water damaged: all of a sudden the lines appeared (with in one photo- and maybe one minute between the two) I must have set something wrong but the web site had nothing> I took the battery out (didn't work either). Photos from my Coolpix LS always appear extremely blue. When I use Photoshop to edit them I have to adjust the color balance on every shot. Sometime the "Auto Adjust" tool is enought. When it is not I move the Yellow/Blue adjustment all to about -85. I move the Majenta/Green adjustment to about -45 and I move the Cyan/Red adjustment to about +15. Is there something wrong with my CCD or is there a software fix for this problem?

Sounds like your white balance is set to something other than "auto WB". Try a different setting. ... Digital Cameras

I have a Carl Zeiss Optical 3x Sony Cybershot. When I flip it open to turn it on, the image is either moving with horizontal lines, or blurred vertically (image looks like it's melting). The photo images come out as they appear on the camera screen. Sometimes the image will appear clear and normal on the camera screen when I flip it open. The camera hasn't been in intense heat or cold.

When I look at a picture from my D60, a thin red vertical line appears from about the middle of the photo down to the bottom in every picture. I swapped lenses and it still appears, so I think it's in the camera itself??? Any idea what would cause this, and if it can be fixed? Thank you!

I only had the Minolta DiMAGE G400 for one year before it started having issues. The photos have a gold-ish tint and look like there are lines through the photo (like horizontal blinds). It started all of a sudden and not because of any trauma to the camera. At first I thought it was a setting, but I can't figure it out. I hate to throw it away if there's something that could be done with it.

We are an orthodontic office using the Nikon D7000 to take facial and intra-oral photos. We are noticing that the intra-oral shots taken from 1-2 feet away have spots over the photo that look like freckles. I receive the same "errr" message. The photo shop said it was a bad contact, they cleaned them with an eraser and made sure there was good contact. Problem was slightly better, but still exists. I have to remove the battery to clear the problem, turning it off and back on does no good. You can actually feel the lense move ever so slightly. Camera has gone back to Nikon for a repair. Very disappointed at this point with this. Camera store acknowledged that they have seen many of these.

My Canon PowerShot S400 shows a blurred image on my screen, one that looks like streaks of light. As I pan the camera the streaks move, too. When power is turned on the zoom lense moves in and out on its own for a couple of seconds then stops.
