Hi, researching forums it appears that this is a fairly comon problem, most likley the dust is on the sensor, this can get in when lenses are changed etc. If you are not confident about cleaning the sensor I recomend you take it to a specialist repair shop. Its a fairly easy process and your manual should suggest how its done. You can use a blower, or compressed air cleaner ( only use the correct product and keep the can upright) or use Visible Dust sensor swabs for stuborn particles. Have a look here.

Dust problem I have the *Ist D and dust was a significant problem the first month I had it. I think it came from the factory packed with dust. After the first month, I got in the habit of frequently blowing it out and raising the mirror to blow only when there's visible dust on the images.
