I.m a beginner of photography. I have a Pentax Kx and a brand new shiny DA Limited lens - 35mm 2.8 macro. I tried to take some macro shots but it couldn't even find the focus but when I use it as a normal lens, it's ok but I can't see much difference with a point and shoot. I need to develop a technically critical eye. I need an expert to help me with this lens on a regular basis. Anyone interested? And how do you charge?

I have just recently boughta Nikon D60 and currently own a Tamron 28-300 lens and a 90 macro lens. I think that I want to buy a strob after a workshop I went to this past weekend. I want to be able to hold the flash off the camera and use it to high light some macro shots. I don't know whether to but the Nikon SB 600 or spent the $100 difference and buy the SB 800? Or am I bitting off more then I can chew at this stage of the game and getting into equipment that will be complex and frustrati
The SB-600 will probably do everything you want. One caution: To use flash off your D60 you're going to need either an external sync cord or a wireless controller. The SB-800 (and the current SB-900) can be used as a controller, the SB-600 ... Nikon Digital Cameras

I have the tamron 18-200 mm XR Di-II if macro lens. The camera displays the error Err 01 Communication between the camera & lens is faulty. Clean the lens contacts. This error occurs with the tamron lens only. I have used the other lens of canon make & the camera is working fine. this happens only after 55mm range . Please guide for the solution if any.
So, have you cleaned the contacts as you were advised? You do this by removing the lens and cleaning the contacts on the camera body and on the lens where they meet with a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol. ... Digital Cameras
I am having trouble photographing birds. Do I use the telephoto lens or the wide angle lens? I also have a macro lens for my Canon EOS 400D SLR Also what settings do I take them at. I have a tripod but the birds are too quick so they have to be for hand held. I am finding that when taking them with the telephoto lens they are not sharp and the background is blurred and not good. Thank you Val
Use the telephoto lens.. wide angle will tend to distort the image and provide too much detail( distraction) around the object of interest. Bird pictures become more interesting when they are mainly of the bird. So when you look through the lens, zoo ... Canon EOS 400D / Rebel XTi Digital Camera
I have a Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4.5 Macro lens working on a Nokon D40X and Nikon D300. For medium to long distances the autofocus does not seem to work with this lens. I think it used to but now I notice that from about 40 feet away the autofocus does not work. The same happens with both cameras. Other lenses work fine so I don't think it is the camera. Is there any history of problems or is it a feature of the lens? thanks, Richard Brand

We have a CoolPix L3 that is not very old nor has it been used (and or misused); perhaps 14 months old. Serial No. 30649827. The telescoping lens has tended to get stuck in a closed position. After installing FRESH new batteries, I gently tapped the camera body against my other hand and the lens opened but continued to move in and out. Sometimes it would stay open but not at its maximum position. Furthermore a message was displayed; LENS ERROR.What do you suggest we do. Is it repairable?

My Canon DSLR Rebel XS is one year old. When I look through the lens, the image is blurry, but when I shoot the picture it looks OK on the preview screen. I am guessing this is a problem with the camera body because I see the same blurry image when I use a different lens.

I bought a nikon n55 camera body from ebay..not realizing it was just the body, of course! I then purchased a digital .45x wide angle lens with macro hd. But I still don't have all the parts I need, and I'm in desperate need of help to find out what more I have to buy to complete my camera.
If you have the N55 body, then all you need are at least one lens (almost any lens with a Nikon mount built in the last half-century will fit on it, except for the newer DX lenses which will cause vignetting), film (35mm), and batteries (two type CR2 ... Digital Cameras
I have an older pair of zoom lense Bushnell binoculars, 40mm with 7 to 21 power. I used to have a cabin in a very humid, mildewy area of Florida and it seems that the mold (mildew) has found its way into the lens whereupon it really messes up the viewing. I took the end pieces off and cleaned the insides with camera lens cleaning items and that helped, but I think the eye pieces need to be removed to finish the job. How do you do that? I'm not sure they are screwed onto the body! Has anyo
I am not familiar with this make, nor with zoom binoculars in general, but for a normal binocular of traditional design, you can take the eyepieces off together, as a unit, by dismantling the focussing mechanism. This is likely to be complicated by t ... Digital Cameras
