Good Morning; My favorite grandson was playing with my Fugi FinePix S700 and now I cannot get the thing to work. Batteries are fine and fully charged. I have a Canon Rebel XS that I just purchased a month ago. I have taken very good care of it. I took several pictures yesterday, but when I turned it in this morning it wouldn't take a picture. It flashes rapidly, but won't focus. The only setting I ever use is the auto focus setting, and I've checked to make sure it was still set, but still it won't take a picture. I am out of town and I don't have my manual, so I can't troubleshot on my own. :( Can you help?

When the the Cannon EOS digital Rebel XT is set to auto focus the camera will not focus and it will not allow me to take a picture when the setting is in the full auto focus mode and not in the creative zone. However, it will allow me take pictures in the manual foucs setting.

Hi.It is a common problem on digital rebel. The problem is a factory defect caused by a factory defective autofocus sub mirror. The problem is known to most repairers ( and sadly to users ). Although the defect due to the camera design, C ... Canon Rebel XT / EOS 350D Digital Camera

Continuous shooting I'm new to this so bare with me. I just got my Nikon D60 and I want to shoot pictures in continuous mode. I set it on manual, go into the menu and change it to continuous. I rotate the dial so it changes the shutter speed but when I take pictures it's just a black screen. As a matter of fact any time I try to take a picture in M it's just black. I'm hoping that there is just a setting I need to change and there's not something wrong with my camera. Thanks.

Hey man. Im not sure how new you are but basically i think your problem is you need to decrease the shutter speed to around 1/200-1/250 of a second and increase the apeture to around f10/12 and see if that works. If your operating at a high shutter s ... Nikon D60 Digital Camera with 18-55mm lens

I own Canon S3 IS digital PowerShot camera. I have taken many pictures, but wanted to make some adjustments to some of the manual settings, as I am getting more comfortable with the camera, and would like to try pictures without using the AUTO mode. I made some adjustments to the picture size (compresion) and pixels.I do not remember making any more changing, but I read the User Guide a lot, and learned where adjustments can be made in the maual mode. I decided to look at some of my latest pictu

I am having problems with the flash working on my camera. It does not seem to matter if it is in automatic or manual modes. When I take a picture in either mode, when a flash is needed, the flash icon just blinks on the display. The camera will not take any photo when this is happening. The only way I can get my camera to take a photo is manually set the flash to off. Why is this happening?

Have the Nikon D90 camera and it does not allow me to take pictures when ever I want. It is in full auto mode and just does not want to take the picture even in bright day light. The F keeps on blinking in full auto mode and even if I switch to manual mode it does not allow me to change settings. It is very frustrating! what is wrong with this D90??

The blinking F-- means that the camera doesn't think a lens is attached. You can try removing the lens and re-attaching it. Or if you have another lens, try that. There are quite a few reports of this issue with the 18-135 kit lens. ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-200mm lens

Where can I read the correct programming of Apperature speed iso etc to take better pictures. Or can you suggest custom setting for outdoor and indoor night pictures thanks hoshangnekoo

Manual mode I bought a G9 and so far I'd had no problems but I tried to use the Manual Mode and found that the pictures it takes are almost black... I went over every setting, tried diferent sensibilities but I cannot find the problem. In the other modes Auto, P, Av, etc, it works perfectly fine. Can anybody help me?

I presume that when you select Manual Mode you are then selecting a suitable aperture and speed and ISO to give you a correct exposure? If you are then I guess this is a problem for Canon to sort out.\015\012Sorry if I'm teaching you to **** eg ... Canon PowerShot G9 Digital Camera

Automatic shoot? I need to know how to get my camera to "take pictures" on its own for a posed family photo. Hi i am using a Nikon N75 to take pictures for my photo class, and the instructor wants us to take low light indoor phtotos at a shutter speed of 1/30 at f2.2. However, when i go to set these settings in manual mode the camera will not let me set my aperture to 2.2 it usually stops at 4 and there is no way i can make it 2.2. i didn't know if there is a limitation on the camera but it seems like i should be able to select what i want.

It's probably a limitation of your lens. You didn't say what lens you're using, but one of the common kit lenses sold with the N75 only goes to f/3.3 at best. If you had a lens that opens up more, the camera will let you use it.The differ ... Nikon Digital Cameras

I was taking pictures and was switching between different shooting modes; on the manual mode when i was changing exposure settings, suddenly a msg came on the centre of the screen saying 'Access...' and then is just not going. Switching it on and off, taking battery and sd card out and restarting were the kind of things i tried but no luck. Please help.

I've read the manual, but I'm still not sure what settings would be the best to photograph close-pictures of jewelry. I want the pictures as clear as possible. A lot of my pictures are fuzzy even when I select the stabilizer in mode 2.

You will probably need to use a tripod in close up mode. Especially if the light levels are low. Flash may help but often gives pictures with overbright parts and reflections. Cheap table tripods are easy to get hold of and if used with the self time ... Digital Cameras

My manual setting is not working. Everytime I try to take a picture using manual mode without flash its dark.

Just to make sure, you are setting the proper exposure? In manual mode you have to set both the aperture and shutter speed yourself. If you don't set them properly then you'll get under- or over-exposed pictures. ... Canon EOS 1100D / Rebel T3 Digital Camera
