Extreme overexposure Outdoor photos are mostly blank - white. Indoor photos are okay if there is very little light and I have it set on the "snow" setting. If there is light from a window then the indoor photos are over exposed as well, often with horizontal lines and/or blurry pictures. It seems that the shutter is open too long, but I don't know why. The ISO settings and the Exposure Compensation are set normally. I have 2 of these cameras, one works fine (but has a black fleck in the

I have a Fuji S1000FP and for the most part it takes great photos EXCEPT when I take pictures into the sun then my photos are either white or black and no image. I will admit I just want a point and shoot camera because I don't understand shutter speed and such. However, I have attempted to change the shutter speeds and still nothing. I have tried all the pre settings as well. (This camera claims to be one of the better outdoor cameras. ) Can anyone offer words of wisdom on this. Ruth

What are the optimal settings for my digital camera? I have a brand new Canon PowerShot 12.1-Megapixel Digital ELPH camera, but I've been really disappointed in the quality of pictures it takes. For example, sometimes there are these smallish blurred white circles on the pictures. Can you recommend optimal settings that I should be using? I use my camera indoors and occasionally outdoors, so whatever settings best cover all different conditions would be ideal.

Small white circles usually means dust on the lens.  Remove the dust with a blowerbrush - not a tissue.\012You are asking for a "1 size fits all" solution for your settings, and indoor and outdoor use really means different settings.   ... I want to take black and white photos on my Casio Exilim EX-Z30 Digital Camera. Is there a setting that allows me to do this? I have checked the instructions but it doesn't seem to mention how I can change the colour settings, just the White Balance. Am I only able to take colour pictures?

The EX-Z30 doesn't have a black-and-white mode. You can convert a color picture to black-and-white using just about any photo-editing program on a computer, and this will give you better control over the conversion than any camera. ... Casio Exilim EX-Z30 Digital Camera

No matter what setting I turn to, I can not get the image to appear. It had been working fine till a couple of days ago. It has not been dropped. I get the same result when trying to view a picture of a card. Is there any way to reset the camera?

I put on a telephoto lens on my camera and on the display the white parts flash black and white. I switched it back to the lens that came with the camera and now it's doing it with that too. How do I fix it?

Canon A560 camera problem - the images are overexposed. I checked the exposure setting, AWB, and all other settings and they are all normal. There is an exposure setting where I can set to + or - 2, but setting it to -2 does not help much. Outdoor photos are almost completely white. There is some detail in black objects. Hi--I have a panasonic lumix DMC-FP8, which I bought in May 2010. The camera is great for outdoor landscapes, etc. but I've had problems with low lighting and red eye. The camera has trouble focusing on the subjects, and there are often white spots all over the picture (even though I've cleaned the lens and checked to see if there were scratches or dirt on it). In addition to this, I have the red eye setting on, but I still get really awful red eye in all of my pictures. The camera is still new

Flash problem So, I set the camera to 'Flash On'. I take a picture and the flash goes off for about a quick second. I look at the picture and it's nothing but a black background, sometimes white where I can only slightly see the object I took the picture of. What's wrong with my camera? This only happens sometimes, by the way. Sometimes I take a picture and everything's normal.

Overexposed photos?? when i hit my shutter release button, sometimes the flash doesn't pop up and the view finder goes black. Many picture moments are missed because of this!
