I have no idea how to use my Besta USB 2.0 Card Reader to put photos onto my computer

\015 My other camera (Olympus) came with an "Olympus Master" so have not had to use my card reader. I am buying a new camera Nikon and will be using a SD memoray card. I have no idea of how to use the card reader to put pictures onto my computer. Are there any simple instructions as I am totally ignorant. I put the driver in and it kept aborting. Should I be attaching the card reader as well? Have not bought the camera yet!!\015

Answers :

Connect the card reader and plug the card into it. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

We use our camera for passports, so having the pictures stay in the camera, then hook to camera up to the passport photo printer, is the easiest way to go. Recently, I ended up taking lots of pictures, so I moved the passport photos off of the card and onto the computer. When I was done, I put the passport photos back onto the card (after removing the new photos), but now the camera says there are no pictures, even though I can view them through the computer using the USB cable attatched to the

I normally use a small 32mb memory card in the olympus D-390 but used an olympus fe-130 over the holidays with a 256mb memory card. I do not have the usb cord for the fe-130 so I put the 256mb card in the d-390 camera and plugged it into my computer to load up my photos but I get a blue screen on the camera with options of Power off or format. Is the card too big for the camera? it works fine in the other to let me take photos and view them, if I had the cord for it or went to a store to print

I have a Canon S30 digital camera and a Macbook running OS x 10.5.8. I use a San Disk USB card reader to download the images to my computer and when I do, the images look normal when they are at thumbnail size, but when I open them they are distorted, cut up into horizontal columns, discolored, and rearranged vertically. This happens whether I use iPhoto, Image Capture, or go directly from the device onto my desktop. I have not downloaded any Canon software or drivers onto my computer, that may

Have a Sony Alpha DSLR-A300K. Let a friend borrow it and she used USB to download the photos to her computer. Ever since she did that, the camera does not work: specifically, all the buttons don't do anything (shutter button, menu button, playback button, etc). Any ideas out there to try and and get this camera to act like its old self? Thanks! p.s. when I get my pictures off the camera, I just remove the card and insert it into my computer; I don't do the USB method she used.

Sounds like when she disconnected the USB cord, she didn't use the "safely remove hardware" function on her computer. You could try a reset from the menu if you could get into it. If not, try a manual reset...it sometimes works. Remove the card and b ... Sony Alpha DSLR-A300K w/ 18-70mm Lens Digital Camera

Photos unread I have an Olympus Stylus 720 SW with the same problem. When I upload photos, some are corrupted and are chopped with parts of the photo misplaced. It has nothing to do with computer as it does this on all computers. I'm not using a reader, but simply uploading VIA USB cable. Some photos are so corrupted, I cannot even get a partial view of the choppy remnant of the photo taken. Could this be a memory card problem or a camera problem? I don't know.
