At first I thought it was user error but after a few prof. photographers have used it, they have come to the same conclusions. I will want to focus on people and it will focus on the tree behind them. I have tried focus locking on my subject and slightly moving the camera, I have tried not moving the camera focusing the camera, I have tried multiple settings. I have not been able to resolve this on my

The shutter speed priority setting on my Canon 40D keeps jumping to a different speed that I haven't set. E.g - set at 200, jumps to 25 when I go to take a photo. I have spoken to Canon regarding the problem and they have suggested that I clear the user settings. This initially solved the problem for all of an hour, but the problem has now started up again. I'll probably be sending it in, as I think it might be a problem with the hardware, just thought I'd check here first. Any suggestio

Appreciation CanadaBruce I was browsing the website since I have a Nikon D80. Considering the fact that Nikon sells this as an amateur camera (meaning not a cheap solution), I suspect their Q&A and test wings are probably getting a lot of flak internally for the problems its users experience intermittently. Besides the F-err with 18-135 lens, I have not experienced other problems yet. I hope and pray to whatever powers there be it stays that way. One way I have tried to get around this problem i

We have Nikon Cool Pix 8800 - we have struggled with the camera from day 1 having a long delay between pushing shutter buttom and photo being taken. It seems recently that the problem has gotten so bad that anything other than a still picture is a frustrating moment. We believe we are shooting on automatic. If there isn't a setting that is wrong we are clearly on our way to selling the camera but we don't even feel good about that the way it currently works. Thanks Lynn
