I have a Coolpix L100, and have installed the Nikon Transfer software. I am using a USB cable (that came with the camera) to connect my PC (Windows XP) to the camera. The Nikon Transfer software does not seem to work--when the auto launch starts OR when I manually start the Nikon Transfer software--there are no photos to transfer. I would like to use the USB cable to connect and transfer photos from the camera to the PC. Why? you may ask? Because it came with the camera, and frankly this sh

Alright..... I had this same problem and I finally figured it out. If your pictures are saved onto the card, then the USB cord will not detect them. If you want to transfer pics via the USB cable, make sure they are saved to your camera. You can copy photos from your card to camera vice versa under your menu settings.\012
\012Also, your card CANNOT be plugged into your camera or it will not see anything. I guess the card confuses the camera. Seems really stupid on Nikon's part.\012
\012Your camera only has a limited amount of memory, so if you will be limited on how many photos you can save to your camera.\012
