Drained Batteries I am having a battery problem with my A75, which is my first digital camera. The camera has gone through 2 sets of brand new alkaline batteries since I've had it. I have taken only two photos. I've mostly only turned it on a few times to fool around with it and to try to learn the different functions. The most recent batteries where drained after sitting in the camera for two weeks and taking no photos. Basically, brand new batteries drained after two weeks of no use. The Ca

Olympus FE170 digital camera shows battery compartment empty with batteries in place I have the same problem. When I place fully recharged batteries in the Olympus FE 170, the camera won't power on at all. When I first did this, it would power on once and then when I went to take a picture it said the battery was too low. If I put new disposable batteries in camera it works. Camera is only 1 year old and barely used.

I have had two digital cameras (the first an Ixus - the present a Powershot). After a couple of years the Ixus wore out batteries in 5 minutes - and buying new ones did not help. Now the same thing is happenng to my Powershot - which uses ordinary AA-batteries. Both cameras still take very good pictures - but a retailer told me that this is what happens to digital cameras after a while. Do i really have to by a new one every 3.rd year - or have anyone any suggestions?

Rechargeable batteries lose performance when they get older. A three year lifespan is not unusual. Note that your camera does not use "normal" AA batteries. It should be using rechargeable NiMH or disposable lithium AA's only, although alkaline (e.g. ... Canon Digital Cameras

Camera problem My daughter just received a new HP635 camera for her birthday. At first the camera worked fine, but after a few minutes of use, the camera started flashing the welcome screen repeatedly and the zoom lense would move in and out over and over until we opened the battery storage compartment of the camera. Opening the battery compartment is the only way to turn the camera off. Everything on the camera becomes inoperable when this process starts which now is every time the camera is tu

Nikon Coolpix L110 camera was bought for me for Christmas 2010. Worked fine at first, but now seems to be having problems. Batteries don't last. I can't transfer my pics from lumix lx3 to pc. When I first connect camera to pc via usb cable, a new drive pops up and I can initially see my pics. My PowerShot S3IS drains it's batteries while turned off. I first thought my rechargeables had gotten old, so bought new non-rechargeable batteries, took a few pictures, and the next day the camera indicated it needed new batteries.

As you probably have figured, something internally might be draining the batteries. You can try to ohm out the battery terminals to verify this, but it could be a high-resistive short, and not noticeable. You have three choices, basically- keep t ... Canon PowerShot S3 IS Digital Camera

Battery? My sister got my Sony Cybershot wet...not submerged or anything...just wet. At first I thought it was broken b/c it would not turn on but I plugged it into the wall charger and it turns on just fine and takes pictures and everything..but the second you disconnect the wall charger from the camera it turns off...no juice at all. I'm wondering if I should waste money on a battery or just buy a new camera. Any suggestions? Could it possibly just be the battery?
