Having problems with your Nikon COOLPIX L19 Digital Camera ?

I have a Nikon L19 Coolpix camera which I bought at Carrefour in Cartaya, Spain. When I came to download my photo's from the camera to the computer I found the cable supplied in the box with the camera, does not fit in to the camera. I have taken this back to Carrefour and they gave me another cable, but when I returned home I found it is for a Kodak camera. Should this work for my Nikon L19, as I can't get it to??

Answers :

The USB cables supplied with digital cameras are almost all miniUSB to standard USB. The small connector on the cable fits into the camera, but it must be oriented a certain way. If you flip the small end the wrong direction, it won't fit. And sometimes the connection is tight. You can see on the small USB plug that it isn't perfectly symmetrical.

I have continuously had battery problems with my Nikon CoolPix L18; after shipping back to Nikon I was informed that there was not a problem. I have since purchased another L18 for my Mom thinking that it could not be a manufacturer problem - however, now we have two cameras that will not hold a battery charge for more than a few pics - literally I had less than an hour of pics on my camera. Back focus My D300 looked like it was focusing behind the subject. I set up 8 objects on the lawn, each one 3 feet behind the other. I mounted my camera on a tripod, selected a shallow depth of field, and shot each object. I found that at close range, my camera focused fine. The farther away the object, the more the camera focused behind the object. I returned the camera to Nikon for repair under warrantee. They made some adjustments. The focus has definitely improved, but I don't think it is qu

MY Nikon D3000 was OK for five days' shooting in Paris. Then I removed the battery to charge it. When I placed the battery back, the camera would not turn on. I checked the battery on another camera and it had power. What could be wrong with my camera?

This sounds like you have a power pcb problem in the camera. If the battery works in another camera as you said then the problem is definitely in the camera. If the camera is less than one year old then I suggest you send in for warranty service to y ... Nikon Digital Cameras

I have a Nikon S200 digital camera. I took some pictures last night, using the flash. When I flicked back through them, I found a problem. I would look at a picture as it was focusing, and after a few seconds when it was focused, it would distort in all different colors. Also, when I try to import those photos into iPhoto on my Macbook Pro, it says that the files are unrecognizable.

Nikon D80, how do you turn off the r09, r11 and/or r17 alert (depending which Image Quality setting I have the camera set to)? I have sent the camera back to Nikon twice and twice it has come back with the r-whatever still appearing on the LCD screen once I depress the shutter button.

I purchased a Nikon Cool Pix Camera in December 2009. In April, I was unable to take pictures for some unexplained reason. I took the camera into Best Buy to have the Geek Squad look at it. They told me it was a problem that needed to be addressed by Nikon. They said that it was obviously not a case of damage or abuse. Long story short, I sent the camera back to Nikon in May with a letter, receipt and warranty. I need to ask why, 6 months later, I still have heard absolutely nothing from yo

I have had a Nikon CoolPix L110 for 10 months. I've never encountered a problem transferring pictures from my camera to my computer during this time...until now. When I connect my camera using the USB cable, Nikon Transfer opens as usual, but nothing happens after that. The source is not showing the camera. The camera works fine. I can view and take pictures.
