Having problems with your Nikon COOLPIX L2 Digital Camera ?
Unable to transfer photos from camera to lap top. coolpix L2
I have seen a couple of coolpix cameras that no longer work with the USB link ... i though that maybe the "picture project" software had to be loaded first .. but in my case that didnt help .. nor did a new USB cable .. now i am thinking that the USB port is easily damaged (probably from static discharge) ... i got things at least workable by getting a "USB to SD card adapter" .. i just plug in the SD card to get the images .. the single card adapter is small, low cost and works with the laptop nicely (portable) .. that works out good for me since i can be editing a card with some pictures while someone else is still taking pictures with a second card .. ..then we swap .. the adapter is a little easier to carry around than the USB cable as far a portability is concerned .. and that extends the useful life of the camera without the expense of repairs ..
