Having problems with your Nikon COOLPIX L3 Digital Camera ?

Nikon coolpix 4500 camra flash will not stay retracted, push it down and iy pops up.

Answers :

Your flash's lock is not working properly. If you are sure you can do it yourself, just open the cam and see if the lock is broken or it's just the spring. But it is better to take it to a service center as this would be a cake walk for them. It should not be expesnsive too.

Coolpix P60 - had it hooked to tv to view photos - was working fine. Unhooked it and now the lens stays out - it retracts when you hit the on/off button, but the lens always pops out again. Cannot view anything (viewfinder and screen are both blank except for camera settings). Have changed batteries, put in a different memory card - nothing seems to work..

My flash (EOS rebel T2i) isn't popping up automatically and i was advised to try wiggling the "manual release" button for the flash to the left and right and see if it will catch on the mechanism and then try pushing the button to see if the flash pops up. But I don't know how to do that...where is the manual release button?

My Flash stop working, do i need to replace it? The built-in flash does not stay up. I can hear the clicking sound when it wants to pop up, but it stays in place. At this point it's pretty easy to open it manually, so I noticed what it seems to be a small spring on the right hand side. I guess it is there to hold the flash and it looks like it is off it's place. Is there a picture somewhere of how it is supposed to assembled? Thanks in advance, Gene
