Having problems with your Nikon COOLPIX L4 Digital Camera ?

Lens cleaning I dropped the camera on a muddy field. After drying it has recovered, but there is a remaining spot on the pic's.The spot is more distinct at tele zoom setting, and hardly visible at wide mode. I cannot remove it by cleaning the the lens outside. I guess there is some adhering particle on an internal lens surface. Is it possible to fix it on my own?

There's some dust spots in my pictures with my Nikon D80. I have sent it for sensor cleaning at Nikon centre but seems that the spots cannot be removed as the technician says it's hidden underneath/behind the sensor. I am not sure how true it is or the technician is just plain lazy because I had to tell him where the spots were 3 times before he got the remove most of them. The spots are not visible if I don't scrutinise the pictures though but it sure is irritating knowing there are 1 more spec

I think the problem is with the technician. I suggest you talk to the manager and ask for another technician to help you with this problem. I do not recommend trying to clean the sensor yourself as you may cause more harm than good. ... Nikon D80 Digital Camera with 18-135mm Lens

Suddenly the pictures I take with my Lumix DMC-ZS3 have dark, shadowy, relatively circular spots on them. The spots are more noticeable when I zoom in. The spots are always in the same places on my images. This is my favorite camera of all time and I very distressed over this issue. I suspect dust has collected somewhere inside the lens where I can not get at it. I have spots on my pics. My camera is still new. I've been extremely careful to not get anything on the lens. Don't see anything visible on the lens, and have also tried cleaning it (very carefully with special lens cleaner). Still, there are spots -- the same place on every pic. Is there anything that I can do? It it possible it's something internal?

Sounds like dust on the sensor. If this was a DSLR, you would be able to clean it but that's impossible on a point-and-shoot. If the camera is new and you have photographic proof the spots have always been there, you should be able to get a replaceme ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS15 Digital Camera

Canon EOS Rebel XT with EFS 18-55mm lens. Trouble-free for two years. During a weekend of lots of use, suddenly the camera would not autofocus. Switching to manual focus, the camera worked. I applied lens cleaning fluid directly to the lens of my camera, a Fuji F50FD digital compact, but it seems to have leaked into the lens housing. Any photos I now take appear with mutiple fine white streaks across them. Curiously, when I shoot in video mode the footage appears completely unaffected. Is this something that I can fix myself - is it just a question of taking the camera apart, then cleaning the inside with care? Or would the lens housing now to be replaced?

This is not something I would recommend you do without the proper knowledge or alignment tools. You would probably just end up with a brick instead of a camera. Sending it to a repair center would be very expensive. Possibly much more than the camera ... Fuji Finepix F50FD Digital Camera
