Did you drop your camera? Did it get bumped or knocked around? It sounds like either you have a senor that is out of alignment or going bad, or you dropped your camera. Did you check you battery? Is it fully charged? If you want to fix your camera, I have a friend who fixes them.

My Nikon Coolpix 4600 will take 1 photo, then refuses to take anymore unless it's turned off and then turned back on. When first turned on the flash and AF LEDs go on. After 1 photo is taken, the flash and AF LEDs won't come on. Pressing the shutter release does nothing. There are no alerts or other red indicators on the screen. The batteries are new.

I visited a brick-and-mortar camera store and asked a repair specialist. There I learned that the problem with my camera is a firmware problem and not worth fixing. I'll throw away the camera and buy another $150 disposable camera. ... Nikon Coolpix 4600 Digital Camera

Black photos When I turn on my camera (Nikon Coolpix S5, I believe), I can access old photos and see the symbols that are usually on the screen when it used to take photos. However, if I take a photo with it, it is just black. The camera flashes and acts like it has taken a photo. There is no lens cap, so that is not the problem. Is the camera simply broken?

The next day when I turned the camera on, the screen was still white and now the on button started to flash. It would not take any pictures. Now it won't even turn on. Is there anything I can do? The buttons on my 4 month old Nikon S8000 don't work. I can take a photo but can't zoom in, I can't view the photos, can't record a video, can't turn on the flash (or any of the other setting on the rotating wheel), can't go to menu, scene selector or delete a photo (which doesn't matter as I can't view the photos anyway!). The shop I bought it from is 130 miles away as I've moved away and no other camera shops are near here, so if possible I'd like to solve this without having it sent away! Tha

Hi, I have a camera, a Sanyo VPC-T1060 and it's having some problems. It turns on, flashes, takes photos apparently, but the LCD screen won't work. It turns white when I turn it on and when I take a photo with flash black lines appear all in the photo. I've tried finding a reset button, but nothing has been found. As I said, it takes photos, but I need the LCD screen to take a photo so I can see if I messed up and should take more. I'm a photographer and I got this camera as a side kick to my DS

Lens Error I purchased a Nikon P90 a month ago; and it was working just fine. A couple of days ago during a photo shoot (after taking 190+ photos without any trouble), the camera went crazy.. It shows a lens error when turned on; asks to 'remove the lens cap' even if it is already removed. The lens starts to zoom out & in for a couple of times; then this error message comes up and just hangs. Tried removing the card, battery and even tried re-charging the cell. I purchased it from UK, and I'm n
