Flash When I take pictures, all of the faces are completely whited out. It's like the flash is too bright but when I adjust the flash, then it's too dark. I'm sort of confused as to what to do. I would love to be able to use the flash without whiting out all the faces and bleaching out the background. I've tried adjusting the brightness and the flash but that doesn't work. Is there anything else I'm doing wrong?

I rally dont know, i personally always keep my flash on auto and keep the brightness auto or 50%. if this is the case, then i strongly recommend contacting Sony and asking them for a solution, or taking it down to the store you purchased it from and ... Sony Cybershot S650 Digital Camera

Camera flash i generally use my camera on auto mode so i don't have to play around with buttons! however after loaning my camera to my sister for a week my flash is no longer as great as it was!! I used to take pics and the flash would light 2-3 times giving a great, bright picture. It now flashes once before the pic is snapped giving a dark picture. If i push the flash button on the left side of the scrolling circle it goes from red eye flash (which flashes once) to no flash! I'm almost certain

The flash seems to work fine, it flashes brightly. The pictures look fine using the built in flash. The flash is a Promaster but we tried a Canon flash and it did the same thing. Pictures taken outdoors turn out fine but I wish I could use it indoors as well. I wasn't sure if there were any recommended settings that would make for better indoor pictures? Thank you, Jason S

Canon sd900 I seldom use my canon sd900 and I usually take pictures without using the flash. But I recently noticed that my hands should be very very steady, just a slight movement will cause the picture to be blurry or unclear. I usually don?t use the flash because it gives a darker background with your face too white from the flash. And my problem arises when I would request other people to take my picture because 90% don?t have a steady hand thus giving me a blurry picture.

Try a higher ISO speed (suggest 400). Look in your camera's instruction book to find out how to do this. ... Digital Cameras

The flash is either far too bright or not bright enough even when using the auto setting. The flash either doesn't flash at all on "soft flash" and then blinds people when the flash is turned on so it produces very dark faces or bright white images. I've tried using different scene modes but this does not seem to work.
