Having problems with your Nikon Coolpix S210 Digital Camera ?

No source identified, no transfer

\015 I have not owned the camera long but have installed the software and transtered photos to my computer 4X with no problems...this time i hook up, turn camera on and nothing. no automatic start even though i have chosen this option, upon manual start, the program opens but my nikon S210 is not identified in the source box..i can click on the start transfer button but nothing is transfering. the whole program seems unresponsive. what should i do???\015

Answers :

First. reboot the computer. If you leave your computer on all the time, an occasional reboot will often clear up an unresponsive program and "sharpen the teeth" so-to-speak. If you've done this, try going directly from USB cable to the camera. If it is still unresponsive, try plugging into a DIFFERENT USB port on the computer. If you've done all of this with the same cable, try using that cable and camera on a different computer. If it is unresponsive there, you may suspect the cable as being bad. Try a different cable. If you're still having issues, suspect that the USB port in the camera has gone bad and have a reputable repair shop take a look at it.

I have had a Nikon CoolPix L110 for 10 months. I've never encountered a problem transferring pictures from my camera to my computer during this time...until now.
