Having problems with your Nikon Coolpix S210 Digital Camera ?

Cannot find instructions in manual for Nikon Coolpix S210 on how to delete ALL photos from memory disk. It will let me delete one at a time but I want to wipe the memory card clean. Thanks for any and all help.

Answers :

These instructions are from the Instruction Manual of the Coolpix S 210 and need to be carried out within the Set-Up Menu.

Refer Page 19:

Removing Memory Cards
\015\012Before removing memory cards, turn the camera off
\015\012and confirm that the power-on lamp is off. Open the
\015\012battery-chamber/memory card slot cover and press the
\015\012card in 1 to partially eject the card 2. The card can
\015\012then be removed by hand.
\015\012B Formatting Memory Cards
\015\012If the message at right is displayed, the memory card must be
\015\012formatted before use (A110). Note that formatting permanently
\015\012deletes all pictures and other data on the memory card. Be sure
\015\012to make copies of any pictures you wish to keep before formatting
\015\012the memory card.
\015\012Use the multi selector to choose Yes and press k. The
\015\012confirmation dialog will be displayed. To start formatting, choose
\015\012Format and press k.
\015\012Do not turn the camera off or open the battery-chamber/memory card slot cover until
\015\012formatting is complete.
\015\012• The first time you insert the memory cards used in other devices into the COOLPIX S210, be sure to
\015\012format them using this camera (A110).

Refer Pg 110:

 Format Memory/m Format Card
\015\012Use this option to format the internal memory or a memory card.
\015\012Formatting the Internal Memory
\015\012To format the internal memory, remove the memory
\015\012card from the camera.
\015\012The Format memory option appears in the setup
\015\012menu.
\015\012Formatting a Memory Card
\015\012When the memory card is inserted in the camera, the
\015\012Format card option appears in the setup menu.

Hope this helps
