Having problems with your Nikon Coolpix S210 Digital Camera ?

The flash has been working fine until last night when I tried to take a picture and the flash was set to auto. When I press the button the little red light beside the flash sign lights up, but the camera does not take the photo. When I set it to flash mode, it still won't take a photo. When I turn off the flash, then it does. What could be the problem? Is it in the settings?

Answers :

If your batteries are weak, the flash will not have enough power to flash and will prevent a picture from being taken.

I am having problems with the flash working on my camera. It does not seem to matter if it is in automatic or manual modes. When I take a picture in either mode, when a flash is needed, the flash icon just blinks on the display. The camera will not take any photo when this is happening. The only way I can get my camera to take a photo is manually set the flash to off. Why is this happening?

I was taking photos over the weekend with my Olympus E-500 and the eyepiece viewfinder got darker than usual. I was using a promaster 5750DX flash. Even without the flash, the eyepiece viewfinder has remained dark. Also, I reset all settings to the default settings and now when the built in flash pops up, there are a series of three "beeps" and the camera tries to focus. I cannot get it to take a photo however. I also pushed the button for the sensor cleaning today. Could this have screwed u

Last night was taking photos indoors with flash on auto setting. All appeared fine except thre was a vertical line on the viewfinder, not quite half way across. After about 4 flash photos, the flash turned itself off and it wouldn't allow me to adjust the settings back to flash again. I checked the setting and it was still on auto and there was plenty of battery left. Tried a couple of shots and they took, but no flash, so useless. Hi. I have a Nikkon D3000, a Sigma 105mm lens, and a round flash ring. I have the settings as: ISO: 200, Shutter Speed: 1/200, F25 for close teeth photos and F8 for face shots. Now I am a dentist and first time user of this camera got the settings from a dental photography website. The proble is: When I take pictures with the flash ring on they turn up black, without the flash ring on and the camera flash on, the pictures turn out clear buy very dark. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Canon SD600 I used my camera to take pictures of fireworks and I noticed that afterwards, all the photos I was taking outside in daylight were turning white. If I take pictures in the dark, they turn out perfect, and low light pictures are fairly normal except anywhere where there is a light source (lamp, window, etc) the color is streaky and orange. This particular camera has no way to adjust the aperture settings and I am considering taking it to a shop to have it looked at. Is there anything

Hi i am using a Nikon N75 to take pictures for my photo class, and the instructor wants us to take low light indoor phtotos at a shutter speed of 1/30 at f2.2. However, when i go to set these settings in manual mode the camera will not let me set my aperture to 2.2 it usually stops at 4 and there is no way i can make it 2.2. i didn't know if there is a limitation on the camera but it seems like i should be able to select what i want.

It's probably a limitation of your lens. You didn't say what lens you're using, but one of the common kit lenses sold with the N75 only goes to f/3.3 at best. If you had a lens that opens up more, the camera will let you use it.The differ ... Nikon Digital Cameras

I have a Panasonic Lumix FZ35.. I adore this camera, it is light, takes great photos and easy to learn. However, awhile back I encountered a problem with the setting's dial.
