I have a rebel xt 350D , using 75-300mm 5.6f lens to do some girls basketball photography inside a gym. Had camera set on: ISO 1600, M mode, 5.6f, 200 shutter speed (that seem to set automatically), used built in flash, Exposure level was in the middle of the chart, auto focus, al servo, continuous shooting, used awb. Got pretty good freeze action shots, with little or no blurring but the photos were dark. Some I could make lighter with photoshop but lost some detail and the contrast was too muc

Unless you were up close and personal, the built-in flash was your problem. Anything past about 15 feet and your picture will be dark. You would have been better off turning the flash off and using available light. Once the flash is off, you can set ... Digital Cameras

Just purchased a canon A590. on page 84 of user guide, continuous shooting is described. I'm somewhat familiar with SD cards, but Canon implies that I have to use their MSH type SD card to use the continuous shooting feature. When I look at the drive modes in my camera, I only see 4 possible modes....single pic, 10 sec delay, 2 second delay, and delay continuous. There is an icon for continuous shooting in the book, but it does not appear on my camera. Why?

I don't own an A590 but I've been handling cameras since the Kodak Instamatic days, so I'll try to help you. I checked out the Canon website for the A590. and they don't specifically state the MSH type SD card. The camera can do 1.4 fps or frames p ... Canon Digital Cameras

I take a few shots and get the Error message 30 on my 50D- Always need to shut it off and then back on. Since I did soe net surfing, and since the camera makes a clear noise whn it goes into error mode, I am thinking it is surely a shutter problem. Anyone there confirm that it is a shutter problem? Note I was using a Sigma Lens at the time, so the little boys at my local shop are saying it is "not" the camera...of course it is still in warranty. I am looking for any HELP or ADVICE! Tony C

I have checked on many sites how to use it, but whenever I press the self timer button and turn the roll left and right nothing happens. The option is fixed at shooting instantly and multiple shots. I just purchased a Power Shot sx200is. I will be taking pictures this evening where most of the subjects are African American. My EOS 400D flash sometimes pops up in bright daylight in full auto mode. I sent it back to Cannon who returned it saying no fault found. I then began to think that the problem was the way I held the camera and that I may be obscuring the (light?) sensor near the grip with my hand. After not using the camera for a while I am now taking shots again and the flash pop up problem has re-appeared. I am now sure I am not blocking the sensor. Any ideas?

In full auto mode, the camera tries to use fill flash, when it detects a backlit scene (e.g. a person in front of a window). So this is not a bug, it's a feature! If you don't want the flash to fire, you can push it down and still take the shot. ... Canon EOS 400D / Rebel XTi Digital Camera with 18-55mm Lens
