Nikon D100 stuck in Auto mode
\015 My D100 has of late frequently randomly switching to auto of its own accord and turning the dial away from and back to manual does not switch it back to manual. The only thing that works is removal of the battery for about 10 seconds and then replacement. This only works for a short time and then the problem recurs. Any idea what might be going on?\015
Take out the battery and put them back in again then turn the camera back on. This should work it worked for me.

Will the Nikon SB600 speedlight work with the Nikon D60 Camera. All the instructions mention all the other Nikon camera's but not the D60. Will the auto flsh modes work with the auto modes of the camera
Yes. The SB-600 instructions don't mention the D60 because the SB-600 came out before the D60 existed. Bear in mind that the D60 does not have a commander mode so you can't use the SB-600 as a slave.Basically, as far as the SB-600 instruc ... Nikon Digital Cameras
Hi, I've just recieved my nikon d90 back from a repair and service, and although everything appears to be working fine, whenever I want to change shooting modes,( auto, P, M, flash off etc), they only work once I have selected them, and then turned the camera off and back on. In other words I cannot be shooting in the Auto mode and then switch to "flash off auto"....all that happens is that the auto focus works but the shutter will not operate. If I switch the camera off and on however, I can t

I have a Nikon D80 and the camera locks up and won't take a picture - the F keeps blinking and it won't lock into a f3.5 or whatever so you can take a pciture - why would this happen ? I generally use it in the auto mode - sometimes I try to switch to manual mode - it will allow me to take a pciture then switch back to auto and it seems to work for awhile - but it will just go back into lockdown mode and it is very frustrating -

Have the Nikon D90 camera and it does not allow me to take pictures when ever I want. It is in full auto mode and just does not want to take the picture even in bright day light. The F keeps on blinking in full auto mode and even if I switch to manual mode it does not allow me to change settings. It is very frustrating! what is wrong with this D90??
The blinking F-- means that the camera doesn't think a lens is attached. You can try removing the lens and re-attaching it. Or if you have another lens, try that. There are quite a few reports of this issue with the 18-135 kit lens. ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-200mm lens

I have a Nikon D70 (with a 18-55mm lens) and have always used it in Auto mode. It suddenly stopped working in auto mode...won't take the picture at all. Did I break the lens??? My Nikon D-40x has an auto focus that won't auto focus. Becasue it won't focus, it won't take a picture with the lens set to that mode. One day the camera worked fine. I put it up in the closet for about 5 months while working odd hours. Took it down removed it from the case, charged the battery and it just won't work. It died all on it's own....Replaced the battery, same result.

Nikon D80 with a Sigma Lens (80 to 200 I think). In manual mode, often shutter won't release - this was a close up of a hummingbird with a fast shutter speed. Internal light meter showed underexposed, but the background was dark green. Initially, the shutter released, but later would not operate either with a remote, or by manually depressed the shutter release button.
