Having problems with your Nikon D100 Digital Camera ?

Loss of photos on Nikon D100

\015 I've lost a photo shoot twice. Photos appear during shoot, but later when I go to transfer them they are corrupted or disappear. This has happened with two different Promaster memory cards. I don't know how many shots are on the flash card, but it only shows 10 and nine are X'd out in red. Only the first picture is OK. Is there any way I can retrieve what is (or was) on the flashcard.I am Clarke Davis a small newspaper publisher at Valley Falls, KS. 785-945-3257 Email address is [email protected] or [email protected]\015

Hi,\015\012It happened to me once. But not this serious.\015\012
\015\012This normally happens due to any inteference with static charges emitted by some electronic equipments.\015\012
\015\012I believe you are shooting in Nikon RAW format.\015\012
\015\012This is how I managed to retrieve some pics. (may not work always but worth a try).\015\012
\015\012Open the raw picture in PictureProject. Even when the file is corrupt, it sometimes shows proper picture. \015\012
\015\012If you save/ export to JPG it might look corrupt. In such case, the option I could think of is zoom into the pic (in pictureproject) take screen shots and finally stich them altogether to get a big picture (hence better resolution).\015\012
\015\012To avoid loss, keep the memory cards and camera away from gadgets with strong electromagnetic radiation.\015\012
\015\012If the problem persists, try a firmware update before taking it to the repair shop.\015\012
\015\012Hope it works,\015\012
\015\012Thanks for using FixYa.\015\012
There is no way to retrive the photos but you can take it to the repair center they have csome data recovery softwares that may help you.

I have a Nikon d100. I have a 2GB Sandisk Extreme III that was full. I transferred the photos to my computer. Trashed the files on my computer so the card was empty. Put the card back into my camera and the camera is still showing the card as "Full" so won't take picture. I've checked the card on my computer and it is empty and the camera does indicate that there are no photos on the card for viewing. I have taken out the battery but that isn't working. Any ideas?

Blurred pictures I started using my new Nikon Coolpix on Christmas Eve and have taken photos for about 2 weeks. More than half of the pictures are very blurry after I transferred them to my computer and enlarged them to view. I also own a Nikon D5000 and have always been very happy with the quality, thus my choice of a Nikon pocket camera. Have I made a mistake?

Nikon D50 I have been reading through Fixya to try and find a similar problem. I have a Nikon D50 and have been using it with no problems for over a year. However, now when I try to take photos in AF, nothing happens. It locks up. So, I have to try to take photos in manual. Some come out OK and others not. Very frustrating as I missed lots of xmas pics. When I hit the AF-L button, it seems to work in AF mode. Any suggestions?? [email protected]

Black photos When I turn on my camera (Nikon Coolpix S5, I believe), I can access old photos and see the symbols that are usually on the screen when it used to take photos. However, if I take a photo with it, it is just black. The camera flashes and acts like it has taken a photo. There is no lens cap, so that is not the problem. Is the camera simply broken?
