Flash card issues
\015 Hi there, when i insert my memory card the letters bra show up in the top screen and on the lcd screen it says memory card cannot be used. i use this memory card all the time and it just started to do this.......any idea what the problem may be? what can i try to fix it without having to reformat my card and lose the pictures on there?thanksplacid [email protected]\015
The only solution I can think of is to format the card. This is the solution to just about every CF card error out there. If you don't want to lose the pictures, try capturing to computer first. If that doesn't work, it's simply corrupt data - you may be able to salvage it via data recovery software like BrotherSoft's Memory Card Recovery:\015\012\015\012\015\012
\015\012but ultimately, formatting is the light at the end of the tunnel. I hope this helps! Good luck. :)

Shutter Lag All, I have an Olympus 5050 Digital Camera that I have been using for a while now for home use and I am quite happy with the results. The only complaint I have is with the capture speed of the camera. The shutter lag seems to be about between 3-5 seconds which becomes quite obvious while taking pictures of moving objects (moving kids). I don't know if the issue is with the shutter speed of the camera or with the slower memory cards. I am using the SimpleTecg 256 MB Compact Flash card
Card speed won't interfere with shutter lag.\015\012\015\012The lag is much less (near non-existent) if you pre-focus. Or use manual focus with small enough aperture to get lots of depth of field. Make sure your kids are in the focus zone and just sn ... Olympus Camedia C-5050 Zoom Digital Camera

Lost pictures I have a Panasonic DMC-TZ3 that I received for Christmas this year. I just bought a new Gateway Laptop to take on a trip. Up till now, the two have functioned just fine together. I use the Lumix software to download my pics each night, then I clear the memory card on my camera, recharge the battery, and I'm good to go for the next day. As a precaution, I also back up my photos to a flash. Here's the issue: we took a three day trip out to Petra, Wadi Rum and Aqaba. While gone, I did

Flash issue I have a flash issue with my three Moultrie D40 cameras. They all worked fine for about a year, then the flash strted to malfunction and right now the flash is present at about 1-3 times out of 200 pictures. It's the same for all cameras. I guess that it's either the flash itself or the "power component" (I don't know the name for this in english) that feeds the flash. Any knowledge or advices about this? Thanks /Stefan, Sweden

Hi, I purchased a FinePix S2500HD recently and a Class10 32GB Adata SDHC card. The camera works fine with the internal memory when the SDHC card is not inserted. But when I insert the SDHC card, it comes up with "Card Error". When I proceed to format the card, it gives me "Protected Card" error. Is this because of any known incompatibility issues between the two? Any help on this issue will be appreciated. Regards, KK

I have a Nikon E5400, ver 1.3. I bought a 4GB Kingston CF card; the package said "formatted and ready to use". On inserting into camera, the message flashed that the card is not formatted. So I proceeded to format. The next message that flashes is "Out of Memory". Questions: 1) is the CF card defective? 2) is E5400 incapable of reading a 4GB CF card, should we use only CF cards <1GB? 3) Will a firmware version upgrade to v1.4 help? 4) Any other reason why this could happen?

I have a Nikon D300. I can't seem to figure out what's wrong, I assume it's a setting issue. In low light situations even with the flash I can't seem to stop action or even properly light things. I have had any kind of issue like this on a camera before. In situations where I should be able to handhold I am using a monopod. I know there is enough light to not have to handhold, I mean I am using the flash. Frankly even with available light this should not be an issue.
