Nikon d200-manual mode

\015 When set on manual exposure mode, my camera won't let me shoot faster than 250. i adjusted everything i could and it won't move. in the display screen, it reads x250. it's never done this before and i can't make it move/change. i was shooting baseball on a bright, sunny day with an iso of 200. should've been able to shoot around 5.3 @ 2000. any idea on what x250 means and how i can fix it? i don't think i've changed anything in the shooting menu that i can tell. can't find anything in the manual either.\015\012thanks.\015\012donna tinsley\015

I have a nikon d200. The last time I used it (only a few days ago) it was fine, everything normal. Then yesterday I pull out out of the case and everything seems to be going wrong. It is metering INSANELY low, like a shutter speed of 100 in full daylight produces a REALLY dark image. It won't auto focus at all, and i am unable to change the fstop in manual or aperture priority modes. I tried to restore it to factory settings and the lcd screen flashed to indicate it had been restored but no luck

Your boyfriend is probably right, and it makes sense, if you can't change the f-stops. \015\012The following blog on Flickr might help you:\015\012 ... Nikon D200 Body Only Digital Camera

My Nikon D70 is not giving me correct meter reading. It is either over/under exposed in Manual, Aperture, Shutter and Program mode. However all the option under the Automatic modes seems to work fine. Is the sensor going haywire in Manual related mode??

I have a Nikon D80 with a 18-135mm lens. I recently got an F-- where the aperture should appear. The error message in the manual says that "No lens attached." I tried detaching and reattaching the lens numerous times. I also tried cleaning the contacts to no avail. The only mode that the shutter will release in is the Manual mode. While in the M mode I couldn't adjust the aperture.

Nikon D80 with a Sigma Lens (80 to 200 I think). In manual mode, often shutter won't release - this was a close up of a hummingbird with a fast shutter speed. Internal light meter showed underexposed, but the background was dark green. Initially, the shutter released, but later would not operate either with a remote, or by manually depressed the shutter release button. Switching back to auto, the camera seemed to work fine, but in this mode could not get the desired shutter speed. In full manual

Have the Nikon D90 camera and it does not allow me to take pictures when ever I want. It is in full auto mode and just does not want to take the picture even in bright day light. The F keeps on blinking in full auto mode and even if I switch to manual mode it does not allow me to change settings. It is very frustrating! what is wrong with this D90??

The blinking F-- means that the camera doesn't think a lens is attached. You can try removing the lens and re-attaching it. Or if you have another lens, try that. There are quite a few reports of this issue with the 18-135 kit lens. ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-200mm lens

I have a Nikon D80 and the camera locks up and won't take a picture - the F keeps blinking and it won't lock into a f3.5 or whatever so you can take a pciture - why would this happen ? I generally use it in the auto mode - sometimes I try to switch to manual mode - it will allow me to take a pciture then switch back to auto and it seems to work for awhile - but it will just go back into lockdown mode and it is very frustrating -

Nikon D50 I have been reading through Fixya to try and find a similar problem. I have a Nikon D50 and have been using it with no problems for over a year. However, now when I try to take photos in AF, nothing happens. It locks up. So, I have to try to take photos in manual. Some come out OK and others not. Continuous shooting I'm new to this so bare with me. I just got my Nikon D60 and I want to shoot pictures in continuous mode. I set it on manual, go into the menu and change it to continuous. I rotate the dial so it changes the shutter speed but when I take pictures it's just a black screen. As a matter of fact any time I try to take a picture in M it's just black. I'm hoping that there is just a setting I need to change and there's not something wrong with my camera. Thanks.

Hey man. Im not sure how new you are but basically i think your problem is you need to decrease the shutter speed to around 1/200-1/250 of a second and increase the apeture to around f10/12 and see if that works. If your operating at a high shutter s ... Nikon D60 Digital Camera with 18-55mm lens

Hi i am using a Nikon N75 to take pictures for my photo class, and the instructor wants us to take low light indoor phtotos at a shutter speed of 1/30 at f2.2. However, when i go to set these settings in manual mode the camera will not let me set my aperture to 2.2 it usually stops at 4 and there is no way i can make it 2.2. i didn't know if there is a limitation on the camera but it seems like i should be able to select what i want.

It's probably a limitation of your lens. You didn't say what lens you're using, but one of the common kit lenses sold with the N75 only goes to f/3.3 at best. If you had a lens that opens up more, the camera will let you use it.The differ ... Nikon Digital Cameras
