Having problems with your Nikon D200 Body Only Digital Camera ?

Spots and artifacts on uploaded image

\015 This problem is particularly true when there is a solid expanse of color in one area. For a time several spots appeared in the same places with each shot when they appeared, but not there are more of them and the could be in various places on the image. Processing images has been a magnified hunt for spots to eliminate through Photoshop. What is going on and how can the problem be solved?\015

There would seem to be dirt on you sensor. Nikon recommend that you get it serviced if this happens - but read on for another solution...

It's happened to me once before
Using a cannister of inert gas (like you'ld use to clean a keyboard or circuitboard) I removed the lens and locked the mirror in the up position, then a single dart for the aerosol was all that was needed.

That's what I did anyway - but I had only 1 spec - if your sensor is that dirty, perhaps it's time to get your camera serviced anyway.
