Shutter Lag All, I have an Olympus 5050 Digital Camera that I have been using for a while now for home use and I am quite happy with the results. The only complaint I have is with the capture speed of the camera. The shutter lag seems to be about between 3-5 seconds which becomes quite obvious while taking pictures of moving objects (moving kids). I don't know if the issue is with the shutter speed of the camera or with the slower memory cards. I am using the SimpleTecg 256 MB Compact Flash card

Card speed won't interfere with shutter lag.\015\012\015\012The lag is much less (near non-existent) if you pre-focus. Or use manual focus with small enough aperture to get lots of depth of field. Make sure your kids are in the focus zone and just sn ... Olympus Camedia C-5050 Zoom Digital Camera

I have a nikon d200, lately the shutter lags 1-2 seconds.

It is probably delaying while it autofocuses.  If it is like most Canon cameras, depressing the shutter half-way should allow you to focus without taking a picture, then when the moment is right, depress the shutter button fully to take the shot ... Nikon D200 Digital Camera With 18-135MM

Cannon EOS500D, taking a picture in creative modes I have to press the shutter button twice to take a picture.(not counting the half pressing of the shutter button. the second pressing of the shutter button can be any length of time to take a picture. It seems to think there is delay set but there is not. In basic modes the picture is taken normally

Shutter speed very slow and has trouble focusing. When I press the the shutter button it takes several seconds before it takes a picture if at all. It seems as though it is having trouble focusing and when it does take a picture it is useally out of focus.

Sometimes, when I take a picture with my 40d the automatic shutter speeds that display can fluctuate dramatically from 100th of a second to 10th of second in just a split second before I press the shutter, leaving me with an overexposed picture. Why does this fluctuation happen?

Canon Powershot A610 digital camera--LCD screen shows icons, but otherwise is blank--there is no visible movement in the lens when I take a picture without flash--have tried setting it on TV setting and taking a picture, then opening the battery cover for a few seconds after waiting 7 seconds or so, but no images on the LCD except the camera's icons--ideas? probably a stuck shutter, or is it still possibly the CCD sensor even though there's no visible movement in the lens? Ideas? Thanks!

Much more likely that it's a stuck shutter, especially for your model camera. How many tries did you give the fix? Some people stated that it took at least 15 repeated tries before the shutter opened:\015\012\015\012\015\012 ... Canon PowerShot A610 Digital Camera

Continuous shooting I'm new to this so bare with me. I just got my Nikon D60 and I want to shoot pictures in continuous mode. I set it on manual, go into the menu and change it to continuous. I rotate the dial so it changes the shutter speed but when I take pictures it's just a black screen. As a matter of fact any time I try to take a picture in M it's just black. I'm hoping that there is just a setting I need to change and there's not something wrong with my camera. Thanks.

Hey man. Im not sure how new you are but basically i think your problem is you need to decrease the shutter speed to around 1/200-1/250 of a second and increase the apeture to around f10/12 and see if that works. If your operating at a high shutter s ... Nikon D60 Digital Camera with 18-55mm lens

My Canon SD950 IS camera will take about 30 seconds to take a flash picture. You have to hold down the shutter button for a long time. Incorrect metering I have a Nikon D40x. About every 100 or so frames that i take, there is a problem with the Nikon Metering system. It incorrectly chooses the Aperture and Shutter Speed.
