Having problems with your Nikon D200 Digital Camera With 18-135MM ?

I have a nikon d200, lately the shutter lags 1-2 seconds.

\015 Despite changing iso, opening of lens still having same results the shutters stills laggin 1-2 second.\015\012Thank you\015\012L.c\015

It is probably delaying while it autofocuses.  If it is like most Canon cameras, depressing the shutter half-way should allow you to focus without taking a picture, then when the moment is right, depress the shutter button fully to take the shot.  You will want to practice this a bit to get used to it.  Shooting in low-light it can take longer to find the focus, so it becomes more necessary to use this technique.\015\012
\015\012Hopefully that helps, but I am not a Nikon user.

Shutter Lag All, I have an Olympus 5050 Digital Camera that I have been using for a while now for home use and I am quite happy with the results. The only complaint I have is with the capture speed of the camera. The shutter lag seems to be about between 3-5 seconds which becomes quite obvious while taking pictures of moving objects (moving kids). I don't know if the issue is with the shutter speed of the camera or with the slower memory cards. I am using the SimpleTecg 256 MB Compact Flash card

Card speed won't interfere with shutter lag.\015\012\015\012The lag is much less (near non-existent) if you pre-focus. Or use manual focus with small enough aperture to get lots of depth of field. Make sure your kids are in the focus zone and just sn ... Olympus Camedia C-5050 Zoom Digital Camera

I am using a Nikon D200. When using flash I can't raise the shutter speed any higher than 1/250. It seems to be locked there and I don't know how unlock it. Please help.

That's entirely correct. 1/250th is the fastest shutter speed you can use when using flash. Many other cameras can still only use 1/60th or 1/125. It's all to do with the two curtain nature of an SLR shutter: when you release the shutter, one curtain ... Nikon Digital Cameras
