D-200 not recognizing flash card
\015 Hi- My Nikon D200 is not recognizing my flash card. I just traveled and checked camera, so the only thing out of ordinary is I checked the camera so it went through the bigger x-ray machines. Could this be the problem? I have 2 flash cards, both had images on them but neither is currently being recognized by camera. It won't allow me to format the cards because it is saying there is no card?! Any ideas?\015
Try to plug the card to a card reader, connect to a computer and check if it can still detect the card. If it does, check if your pix are still there, if none, reformat the card using the computer

I have a Nikon E5400, ver 1.3. I bought a 4GB Kingston CF card; the package said "formatted and ready to use". On inserting into camera, the message flashed that the card is not formatted. So I proceeded to format. The next message that flashes is "Out of Memory". Questions: 1) is the CF card defective? 2) is E5400 incapable of reading a 4GB CF card, should we use only CF cards <1GB? 3) Will a firmware version upgrade to v1.4 help? 4) Any other reason why this could happen?
