What's the question? ... Nikon D200 Digital Camera with 18-200mm Lens

Pictures a very overexposed. Inside I can shoot without a flash at 400 ISO and they come out right. Outside they turn white. Also the shutter speed won't register. I can set it at 125 or even 500 and it comes out at about 1/30 or 1/60 of a second. Lower shutter speeds are actually lower. This happened a day after I cleaned my sensor. Could that be the problems?

Have you set the 400 ISO, or do you have the camera on Auto ISO?\012\012\012Go back to your setup menus and set the Sensitivity to the lowest ISO value possible.  Now set the White Balance to Auto. Exit the menus. Now set the camera t ... Pentax *ist D Digital Camera

Nikon d200 My pictures are coming out with red or yellow in it and I do the white balance with an expo disc. Did I do something wrong in the menu settings? I am shooting portraits with continuous lighting. What setting should I have my camera on? Also if you could give a good f stop and shutter speed for shooting kids that move alot - this is without a flash - using 500wt continuous lighting. Please help and Thank you - Thank you!!!!

Hello jenmardi,First, the fstop and shutter speed question ... For a lens of 70 mm I would use the manual with shutter speed at least 1/250 or 1/500, then the fstop I would set at 2.8 or just under this, no more than 4. You need as much l ... Nikon D200 Digital Camera with 18-200mm Lens

Hi. I have a Nikkon D3000, a Sigma 105mm lens, and a round flash ring. I have the settings as: ISO: 200, Shutter Speed: 1/200, F25 for close teeth photos and F8 for face shots. Now I am a dentist and first time user of this camera got the settings from a dental photography website. The proble is: When I take pictures with the flash ring on they turn up black, without the flash ring on and the camera flash on, the pictures turn out clear buy very dark. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

I am unable to get the shutter speed above 1/60 on our D200. It was working fine. Is there some setting in the camera that would limit shutter speed even with flash?

The flash is probably what's limiting your shutter speed. All cameras have a maximum shutter speed that syncronizes with the flash. ... Nikon Digital Cameras

External Flash I set my Epson 3100z camera to manual mode and set up the camera for external flash. I manually set the shutter speed to 1/60 sec and the aperture to F4. I also set my SunPak flash to F4. My exposures seem pretty good. However when I review the various photo info's, the aperture reading is F5 or F4.8 not the F4 I set. Why is this? Anyone experienced this? The shutter speed are also not always what I set on the camera.

I have a rebel xt 350D , using 75-300mm 5.6f lens to do some girls basketball photography inside a gym. Had camera set on: ISO 1600, M mode, 5.6f, 200 shutter speed (that seem to set automatically), used built in flash, Exposure level was in the middle of the chart, auto focus, al servo, continuous shooting, used awb. Got pretty good freeze action shots, with little or no blurring but the photos were dark. Some I could make lighter with photoshop but lost some detail and the contrast was too muc

Unless you were up close and personal, the built-in flash was your problem. Anything past about 15 feet and your picture will be dark. You would have been better off turning the flash off and using available light. Once the flash is off, you can set ... Digital Cameras

Indoors it's always better to use a flash. Your camera will switch to proper settings automatically on auto mode. Indoors you can use ISO 400, 1/125s, f5.6 (all this depends on light and distance). Outside ISO 100, 1/250s, f8.With camera's auto ... Nikon D5000 Digital Camera

My d90 flashes an err sign somtimes when i shoot at manual mode.. but when i change my apperture and shutter speed setting, it will not appear anymore. Even at auto mode sometimes it flashes an err. Does the d90 flashes an error when you made wrong setting in your apperture and shutter speed?

On page 256 of the D-90 user manual it says that an ERR message indicates a camera malfunction and that the malfunction can be cleared by releasing the shutter. I found that the only way I could release the shutter is to turn the camera off and back ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens

White Screen Upon startup lens emerges but when screen appears it is white whereas it normally displays whatever the lens sees. When the shutter button is pressed the camera will focus and take a white picture which can be deleted. The camera does not flash although flash is set to automatic and photo taken in a dark room. Camera flashes (weakly) with flash set to manual on. Lens is unobstructed and appears to be perfectly normal. Camera was not dropped. Batteries have been changed.

I have a nikon d200. The last time I used it (only a few days ago) it was fine, everything normal. Then yesterday I pull out out of the case and everything seems to be going wrong. It is metering INSANELY low, like a shutter speed of 100 in full daylight produces a REALLY dark image. It won't auto focus at all, and i am unable to change the fstop in manual or aperture priority modes. I tried to restore it to factory settings and the lcd screen flashed to indicate it had been restored but no luck

Hi, I have a two year old Canon PowerShot SX1. Recently began to think my shutter speeds have been on the low side, based on ISO, aperture, and general lighting conditions outside. Went out and purchased a Canon PowerShot SX130 just to compare. Took about 25 shots with each, same subjects each time, same settings, same position, about 15 seconds apart. Discovered that, on average, the SX130's shutter speeds were over 3 times higher than the SX1 for proper exposures. For instance, at ISO 100

Exposure problem Hi,i'm using EOS 1dMK2 for 5 months now & i've noticed the same problem i've had using D60,1D wich is when i set the camera to top ISO speed & high speed continous shooting almost every second shot is underexposed for 1 stop, stangely this only happens indoor under tungsten or flourescent light.I've also tried to:set custom white ballance, shoot raw ,change lenses, set manual exposure & aperture. Has anyone else noticed this ? P.S. Parameters for both pictures are 1/250sec, f4 ,

I have a Fuji S1000FP and for the most part it takes great photos EXCEPT when I take pictures into the sun then my photos are either white or black and no image. I have tried all the pre settings as well. (This camera claims to be one of the better outdoor cameras. ) Can anyone offer words of wisdom on this. Ruth

Extreme overexposure Outdoor photos are mostly blank - white. Indoor photos are okay if there is very little light and I have it set on the "snow" setting. Command dial on a friend's Fuji Finepix S9000 is NOT functioning. Can't control aperture, shutter speed, flash settings, etc. Can it be opened and fixed (he has no warranty, thus no problem with opening it). Is there a special setting or way of turning or pressing buttons that he is doing wrong? It says to press (and hold?) a button then twist the dial, but no change is made as far as I can see. Overexposed photos?? when i hit my shutter release button, sometimes the flash doesn't pop up and the view finder goes black. Many picture moments are missed because of this!
