Having problems with your Nikon D300 Body Only Digital Camera ?

I put in a freshly charged battery and go shoot a youth football game. After a series of shots, my battery is "dead". I turn the camera off and then back on and can get a few more shots before it goes dead again. I have bought brand new batteries (I now have 3) and the problem occurs with each one. Any suggestions?

Answers :

When you install a freshly charged battery, does the battery power level indicator indicate that the battery is at full charge? If YES, it would seem you have a severe power drain in the camera and should take it in for professional repair. If NO, your battery charger doesn't work.
How about cleaning the battery contacts in the camera with a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol? It also wouldn't hurt to visit the support section of the Nikon website to see if they've posted any firmware updates.

It stayed like this so I decided to buy a set of new NiMh batteries, i bought panasonic brand.
