Having problems with your Nikon D40 Digital Camera with G-II 18-55mm Lens ?

I dropped my nikon d40 and there may be something wrong with it.

\015 When I do "continuous shoot" or take rapid shots, it would work flawlessly at times, but there are times when it would only take a couple of shots then it just stops.\015\012\015\012Does the lighting have something to do with it?\015\012\015\012The thing is, my dslr fell from the camera bag from a height of a foot and a half on the marble floor. The body took most of the beating i think.\015\012\015\012So should I worry or am I just paranoid?\015\012Someone please help!\015

Being a slower, baseline SLR, sometimes it needs to take some time to record all the images to the memory card. In the viewfinder you'll sometimes see the work "job" in the right, and it won't let you do anything. This means the camera is processing the photos. It's a normal pause.
RE: your response. Lens shouldn't make any difference with speed. But if recording speed is the issue, you can get a faster SD card. I recommend a professional one. I have a D40 and have no problems with taking continuous photos. So if the faster recording SD doesn't solve it, there may be something else wrong with the camera.

I have a Nikon D40, which I recently dropped. :( Camera seemed okay, but then I noticed later that the 18-55 lens was being less than cooperative. It now is stuck on 55 adn will not zoom out. It still focuses (manually & automatically). My other lens, which was not on the camera at the time of the drop, works perfectly fine. Any suggestions on what could be wrong or how to fix it?

I have a Nikon D80. Whilst at Yosemite National Park a few weeks ago, where it was extremely cold I noticed that my camera would not take photo. After a few tries, it started working fine again. However, yesterday the shutter started sticking, and the ERR message showed on the screen. Then I can take one photo, and same thing happens again. Is there something I can do with settings, or do you think there may be something wrong with the camera body? I took to a camera shop and they say the

The viewfinder of my Nikon D80 is grayish and blurry when it's off. I cant see a thing when I tried to use my 18-135 mm lens. I don't have a battery to reset it to its factory default settings. Do you think there's something wrong with the camera or the viewfinder is always blurry and grayish when it's off. I have owned D40 earlier and I could play around with the viewfinder even when the camera was off.

Dropped Camera. Basically, the thing stopped working. DMC-FZ1 It was dropped from a tripod it landed Lens DOWN. So it kind of smashed into it maybe? But nothing on the outside seems to be actually broken. The lens is crooked, but thats all that seems to be wrong. Yet it won't turn on at all. Maybe if someone could suggest something? Perhaps maybe something needs to be fidgeted around inside? Or is it a better idea if I pay a professional? But whatever the case. Anyone who has any suggestions it

SAME PROBLEM I didn't drop S60 or hit anything. When turn on the power, a motor vibration noise will be heard. Turn it off and turn it on again may get it work luckily.
