Change Bracketing to half stops

\015 Hi there, I have a Nikon D40 and I want to bracket every half stop and not third. How do I change my settings to accommodate this? Thanks!\015

Nikon Coolpix 8800 VR - changed memory card (last thing I did) and the zoom lense stopped half way. It won't retract, in fact there is no motor sounds, lights displays or anything working. Charged all batteries I own and tried each of them with no success. Is there another "well hidden" battery that I need to change? OR has it officially died??

Button-be-dead Ok, so this might sound kind of stupid but my camera was in my purse and I didn't drop it or anything, but when I went to take it out to take pictures, the button you push to take the picture was already half down so it won't stop auto-focusing. I can't zoom in or out, look through my pictures, turn the flash off, delete pictures, or change picture styles. I know it's because of the button already being down halfway but I really need to know how to fix it and get the button back

Accidentally I dropped my Sony DSC S500 camera. Now the shutter is jammed. When i switch on, the lens ejects out and stops half way. While switching off, the lens doesn't come back to normal position, instead it stops in half way ejected position. From the LED display i could see a blurred image. I am able to see all the photos that i have taken so far, but am not able to take any new photos.
