Computer does not recoznise images file
\015 Computer does not recognize images file. I got a mac and normally i use iphoto to upload pics, never had a problem but, for some reason now the computer does not recognize the file type, which is set up to RAW but appears as DSC_0021. NEF.Thanks\015
.Nef is Nikon's RAW image identifier. See if there's an update for iPhoto at Mac website. Perhaps your camera (if it's new) is not yet set up to upload to iPhoto. You didn't indicate what camera you're using.
NEF is the Nikon version of Raw image processing. You need the Nikon raw processing software on your Mac. If you don't have that, then set your camera's raw format to DNG.

Lost Pictures After an unsuccessful attempt to install Leopard I had to copy all files, restore the original software to my PowerBookG4 and then return all files to the computer. I've got an EOS 30D and when I shoot RAW images along with regular ones I can't find the RAW images. Are they somehow embedded in the other images? I run Windows on a PC and download the images direct from the card. The perplexing thing is that once or twice they have come up as separate files when I downloaded the files to my computer. Any thoughts? Thanks very much, Jon Binzen
I haven't come across that particular problem as of yet. My only questions is; why shoot both RAW and JPEG at the same time? It would be memory consuming. I shoot only RAW unless I'm shooting sporting events. I typically use Canon's DPP softwar ... Canon Digital Cameras

Viewing exposures on file in chip some images are blank with notation "file error". How can I recover Image? The camera is relatively new for me and I do not have much experience asyet. Camera: Nikon Coolpix E4600 Have tried to transfer images from my Coolpix camera to my computer. Once connected to USB cord, the camera is recognized by the computer except the file transfering programs (Nikon Transfer and PictureProject) don't recognize any files to transfer. I've put the memory card which has the pictures into my laptop and transfered them successfully that way, which is why it leads me to believe the cord is the issue.

Importing Images Hi, When we take photos on our 500D we can preview the photos on the screen. When we place our Camera card into the computer and try to import the file they say that it is not a supported mode. Displaying the image number for example as IMG_0135.CR2 usually they will display CRW_0135. Is there a solution ?
