Hi, I have a Canon IXUS 95IS camera.. For some reason, when I attempt to take a photo, the LCD screen isn't displaying what is actually in view? In movie mode it comes up on the screen but when i flick it to Auto or camera mode, the screen goes black and only shows the little icons... Weirdly enough, it still takes the picture but the really annoying thing is it doesn't show up on the screen what you're taking a photo of so it makes it really hard for the person taking the actually photo... can

Fixing yourself As long as you take it steady and have a box with compartments in for all the screws at different stages you should be all right. This model has the older style wires with different size plugs so you really can't go wrong. I think it is only the screen and possibly the keypad that have ribbon strips to worry about. There is very little in there really. 2 circuit boards, lens unit and flash unit. borrow a camera and photograph each stage

I have an olympus camera. It's a stylus 850SW. Apparently its supposed to be drop proof but it took a bad fall I guess and the side part that plugs into the computer is now having problems opening. Also, this is going to make it seem like I'm always dropping my camera but a piece of the bottom broke off and I'm unsure how. I got it a little over a year ago. Is there anyway I have a warranty on this camera. I paid so much for it and I really don't want to buy another one. What do I do?!

A "little over a year ago" means no warranty. Besides, the warranty wouldn't cover damage due to dropping the camera. If the camera still works, you can use a card reader to download your pictures and eliminate the need for "the side part that plugs ... Olympus Stylus 850SW Digital Camera

Disassembling camera I have a GE A730 camera that was dropped. I think I can fix it If I can disassemble it enough. The problem is I can only get the back cover with the LCD screen off. The main board is loose except for a dozen solder points to the small top board, and a few wires. I really don't want to do any soldering, but I can't see how else to proceed. We looked on the information of the pics and the shutter speed is really low. My husband started to look and try to manually adjust some things and the speed will not change. States LOW. I also looked at the soccer portraits I took right before the action shots same day...and some of those are a little blurry as well. What could be wrong? Please help!
