Having problems with your Nikon D40 Digital Camera with G-II 18-55mm Lens ?

I was downloading pics when suddenly my PC showed

\015 I was uploading pics when accidentally I clicked on a video file, then suddenly my PC showed that the temporary camera drive was not responding. I disconnected my Nikon D40 carefully from the PC. However, since then my Nikon doesn't power up. Any clues? I need the camera for an event that will happen within 4 days. I would appreciate any help.\015

I just want to give you one more option that Steve did not mention. It is a bit of a duhh action, but did you take the battery out and let it sit for a few hours? Try that, and then when you go to plug it in to the computer again, use a different USB port. (Thatt is of course if it powers back up after the battery removal.)
I couldn't find any service advisories on your camera from Nikon, so there are no known issues affecting this model camera. Since this an expensive camera and has many precision moving parts, dis-assembly is not recommended. You should remove the memory card and battery. Fully charge the battery to make sure the battery isn't contributing to the problem, reinstall a different memory card (to rule out corrupted data on the card) and try to power up again. If another card is not available, read the card in a stand alone SDHC card reader (if available), save any images / videos if desired and format the card before inserting into the camera.

Failing this, you'll probably have to arrange for service from Nikon (or an authorized service center). Contact Nikon Service & Repair below:

My Olympus C3000 fell while I was downloading pictures. The download completed, but the lense was open. When I unplugged it from the computer, it made a loud beeping noise and went out. I charged the battery. The lens will not retract. The viewer is ready for a picture and shows the remaining pic count, etc., but goes out almost immediately. The download mode simply shows "No Pictures".

Took pictures with Panasonic DMX-FZ50 using a Lexar SD 2GB memory card. I put card into card reader in my computer to upload. It shows a JPEG thumbnail with a file # and if you place the cursor over it, it shows a file size of any where from 2mb to 4 mb like there is something there but cannot view it. I know the pics where there because I saw them in the lcd screen. My card reader wipped the picture off when I downloaded so can't see them now in camera. Is there anyway to fix these pics or some

I recently got an old Concord Eye-Q Duo 2000 camera from a second-hand shop. It seems to work, but when I tried to download the pics to my computer, most came through blank, even though they showed well on the LCD when I reviewed them. I do not have the software or drivers, but I thought that since the pics are in JPG mode, I could just download them with my card reader and they would be OK. But not so. Is there anything I can do without the software and driver?

Did you take out the memory card and place it in the card reader and nothing appeared? If so, your pictures might probably saved on the camera's internal phone memory. What you can do is to plugin your camera to the computer using a usb cable. The ... Concord Camera Eye-Q Duo 2000 Digital Camera
