My Pentax K100D has suddenly stopped working. It hasn?t been bumped or dropped or anything. A few days ago I was still taking pictures, and then a day or two later when I tried it, it wouldn?t work. When you press the shutter release button, nothing happens. No autofocus, no picture is taken, nothing. The only thing is that you hear a fairly rapid clicking sound, perhaps like a gear wheel turning or something. I tried various settings, new batteries, a different lens, autofocus, manual focus, ev

Whenever the camera is shaken slightly harder than gently, the camera will not turn on unless a fresh battery is put in (fresh as in green in the charger), in which case it works fine until it is shaken again. Something sounds like it is loose on the inside. How can I fix this without a $200 repair bill?

I purchased a Sanyo 12.1 mp camera with 3x optical zoom less than a month ago and for some reason it will not focus on anything. The screen shows everything as a big blur. I have checked the lense to see if there was a possible smudge on it but there isnt and none of the camera settings have been changed. It is also making sounds like it is trying to focus but cannot. Is there any way to possibly fix this?

I bought this camera on ebay for my daughter- it seemed like a good idea at the time. I have the same model (bought new) & have no problems. The ebay camera went through batteries alarmingly fast and when I changed them they were hot. On our 6th day of ownership a message appeared on the screen that said "Lens error, restart camera" We could not restart the camera b/c it wouldn't do anything - it was dead and the lens won't retract. Yes sort of, we have several possibilities first is that if the lens is equipped with an auto and manual switch the switch may have been set to manual or it's positioned between manual and auto focus. Failing that I'd suggest you turn off the camera ... Canon EOS Rebel XSi Digital Camera

Zooming FE-280 camera - Worked great for about 2 weeks. While on vacation developed a problem - when you turn the camera on the lens goes in and out like it is trying to focus. Once it is through with the lens action when you try to set up for a picture (any mode) and focus on the subject the camera will not focus and then shuts down. Acts like the battery is dead but camera shows fully charged battery. Any ideas?

Very slow After I take a picture it takes a very long time until I can take another one. The viewfinder lamp swithces slowly from green to orange and the camera is not responding to anything until the lamp stays green. It takes even longer if i used the flash. Anyway I can fix it? I opened the camera and I noticed there is a battery (like a watch battery). Can that be replaced? Anybody knows anything about this battery? Thank you in advance for any feedback.

Focus Problem Dear folks, I just bought a (new) Canon A75, and it doesn't seem to focus. At all. Even on manual focus, not only can I not get it to focus properly, the focus doesn't change at all. When on AF, it doesn't beep like the manual says it should, and the yellow light blinks, as it's supposed to when there's a focus issue. The focus assist light is working. Can anybody think of anything I should try? The manual is of no help. This is my first digital camera, so I'm not ruling out the po

I'm not sure on the problem, but one thing to check on the front of the A75 it also uses an IR beam to set focus. It's a little circular dot under the flash on the right side. It will light up red when in use to project the IR beam. Make sure you ... Canon PowerShot A75 Digital Camera

Canon 20d, mirror constantly setting under power, sounds like the camera shutter constantly engaging, like a multiple exposure. with or without lens attached, with or without memory card, with or without time/date battery, sometimes even when camera turned off, and sometimes with camera turned off and as soon as battery makes contact with terminals.

D60: I just got back from Certified Repair group where they said the camera is "okay". The Problem: It's like the ISO has shifted, and the readings on P, S, A, even M all result in a long exposure/wide open aperture reading. Frequently the reading is such that the shutter will not release, due to no focus or wrong light amount. Frequently the focus "peep" does not go off, and so the shutter will not release. I have a D90 and I just got, used, a 50 mm f/1.4 D lens. The lens motor sounds like it is working, but only moves the lens a small amount. Not enough to properly auto focus. It will manually focus, but the movement is not as free as another 50 mm lens I compared it to. Yes, I could bring it back, but if there is a simple fix, I'd like to do that.

My Canon powershot A1100 IS is not focusing at all. The lens extends when turned on, but when it tries to focus (when set to "Auto"), I hear a clicking sound, as if the motor is trying to adjust the lens, but is not. Even with fresh batteries installed, I only get a few shots before the "battery empty" icon appears. Then, if I remove and then re-insert the same batteries, the initial result is a green battery icon which may only give me one shot before the "battery empty" icon appears again. If I use only the viewfinder, I may get a couple more shots. It looks like an electrical problem but what should I do?

Battery Problem I was given an SD9 last month and so far like it except for some battery issues. Using fresh AA's it will often give me the 'low battery' warning as soon as they are loaded. I bought the CRV3's thinking that would solve it, it did initially, but after about 40 shots I took them out, tried some new AA's and again the low battery warning... replaced them with the CRV3's again, low battery (surely they were not run out after 40 shots?!)
