My Pictures come out way too light or way too dark, HELP!
\015 I have this HUGE problem with my camera at this point in time. I love to take the pictures on the Auto setting, but\302\240lately, my pictures have been coming out all wrong. I am not very old and i am an aspiring photographer, I also have not had this camera for a long time. The pictures that i take are completely white or barely show what I am shooting dark. I have NO IDEA what to do, i have the manual somewhere, but I need quick help! Step-by-step would be very much\302\240appreciated. My camera is my life, I;m just afraid that I cannot fix it! My canon powershot s3 IS is taking really dark pictures. The only decent pictures I can take with it are outside in sunlight. Pics indoors come out dark and grainy. I flip up the flash, but most of the time the flash doesn't go off, like there is enough light. And then when it does go off, the picture is way too bright. Help please!!

Try switching it to Program and using the thumb wheel to adjust exposure. If you're shooting into the sun it can throw off your exposure of the subject in the foreground. The screen is almost completely dark...If I look at a light through it I can barely see the light...almost looks like a negative...and using the flash does nothing, pictures come out the same way..completely dark or very little light exposure. When i look through the viewfinder its darker than usual, my lens wont seem to come off its stuck even while holding down the release button and trying to rotate it by force. My sd700 is auto-metering light incorrectly and the pictures come out too dark. Sometimes simply re-framing/re-focusing the shot will make it work correctly, but not usually. Is it broken? When I use my SD790 in bright light the picture comes out dark now.. when I push the button to take the picture the screen goes from normal to dark. Distorted image The image I see through the viewer is distorted(vertical lines). Also if I take a picture that comes up the same, all vertical lines?
