Having problems with your Nikon D5000 Digital Camera ?
After dropping my nikon d5000 camera the lense doesn't seem to fit
This is a clear case for the service centre.
If you drop one, the main components that can get damaged are the lens elements, the focusing ring, the aperture ring, the lens mount and the filter mount. Some of these components are much easier to fix than others.

I have an old interchangable lense from a Nikon camera that I used to use with film. My question is does the lense Sigma DL zoom 75-300 mm 1:4-5.6, fit or work on any of the digital camera today?
Yes. It will fit and work on every current Nikon digital camera. It will act longer, like a 125-450mm on the smaller sensor bodies (everything except the D700 and the D3 series). It will act like a 75-300mm on the D700 and the D3. It also won't autof ... Digital Cameras

I have a Nikon D40, which I recently dropped. :( Camera seemed okay, but then I noticed later that the 18-55 lens was being less than cooperative. It now is stuck on 55 adn will not zoom out. It still focuses (manually & automatically). My other lens, which was not on the camera at the time of the drop, works perfectly fine. Any suggestions on what could be wrong or how to fix it?

I have a Nikon D40X camera with two lenses - one is 18-55 and the other is 55-200. Unfortunately, when I was at a wedding rehearsal, my 55-200 lens dropped off the pew on to the ground. It was not on the camera at the time and it has not worked properly ever since. My camera works properly with the 18-55 lens. Is there anything that can be done to fix it? Essentially, the camera can still focus, in and out, but when I try and push the button down, to take a picture, it just continues to refocus
It is broken - either you wear the cost and replace it, or send it to a lens specialist and have it reset. Without seeing it, it is impossible to ascertain the condition. My D70 (which I just bought on ebay) is having problems with AF. At time the AF works fine but then for no reason it refuses to work for hours to days. I have two bodies so I can swap lenses to see that its not the lens. If I switch to manual focus, it the camera works fine. I can see the little pins around the lens fitting retract when I switch the camera to manual. Seems like a problem with the internals that control AF. No other problems are apparent to me. Any suggestions?

My Sony DSC-T200 also vibrates periodically. I've never dropped it, and 90% of the time, its functioning just fine, but once in a while (usually for the duration of a whole event that I'd like to take pictures at), it vibrates very much like a cell phone with ringer set on vibrate. It seems to be the autofocus lense since the focus of the picture is also oscillating with the vibration. Is there a tooth on a gear broken or something? Is this camera prone to this? I am interested in buying Nikon's new digital D60 camera what i need to know is if I can use all the Nikon lenses I have that fit my 35mm camers

I have a Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4.5 Macro lens working on a Nokon D40X and Nikon D300. For medium to long distances the autofocus does not seem to work with this lens. I think it used to but now I notice that from about 40 feet away the autofocus does not work. The same happens with both cameras. Other lenses work fine so I don't think it is the camera. Is there any history of problems or is it a feature of the lens? thanks, Richard Brand
